BTW, not only does the newcomers' community ask you to hold a paper so do some other communities. Here you have to write a certain text.
I’ve also opt out of many contest because this was one of their criteria to participate in it. I don’t think I will do that again apart from the newcomers post.
Reading about @alexanderkass post made me laugh. When i returned back to steemit, I was made to carry a cup. I had to carry a tea cup and my paper incase they want to serve virtual tea for me.
I guess no tea? No cookie? It's rediculous but what I like to know is if you asked the one who told you to do this to show him/herself first. You have no idea whom you are talking and who says you, are you? You can ask anyone to hold that teacup. And what if you are not able to make a selfie? I wonder what will happen if you have 200k in your wallet. Will they ask you as well to serve tea cups? What if you don't have a tea cup?
