RE: Gaming

Well said!

There are a lot of posts each day. If we are all going to be working towards making this a successful place/forum. Then, we all need to be engaging with each other. Like you said earlier, short comments (e.g. nice post or I agree) doesn't help with engagement. You may see them all over some posts.

If we treat this like a game. Then, we will have a better chance to gain energy (SP) and power up faster!

The main problem is the lack of engagement. It, a platform, social media, doesn't exist if I only leave a message and there's no reply and I dare to say that more is needed than just one reply. I know not everyone is like me but if I don't hear longer from someone I talked to I will check where he is and if he is still active and leave a message underneath on of the posts.

I think it's a good start to see this as a game.

It's like having a friend online. Well, if you have done this before. It should be appreciated.

We all don't know the future of this platform or any other online site. But, I don't see the reason why we wouldn't make it a nice stay while we are here.

Maybe if more people would see this comment, they would be more engaging.

The main problem is that if you join with the idea to make a big income because you heard SC will vote why engage, why make friends?

Strangely enough many hours are wasted on Facebook, in whatsapp groups, discord you name it, unpaid. Why not here?

I made good friends here which I also connect with outside Steemit. Internet, Steemit can benefit one in many ways. All those benefits (help, tips, a good chat, fun, friendships) are priceless.

Platforms are invisible and dead if commemting stops. Imagine Reddit with questions but no answers

Well, with regards to the mentioned social media. They have spent a lot more on marketing than platforms like this one. Plus, they are more focused about messaging and user interaction than content creation.

I think people who are using platforms like this one, are not drawn towards social media platforms in general. Or at least, not to the extent that others have been.

I like the Reddit example. It highlights the need of engagement between one another in any platform.

Then you think wrong. It is how it starred Steemians wanted to be anomynous and free of the influence of MSM. Today the opposite is taking place and the platform needs them to show videos, chat and so on. If hashtags would be used there would be plenty of hits if you google.

Not those wbo want toblog anonymous join but those in need of cash

Well.. I guess those who prefers being anonymous are still in here. But, I don't see them saying much. Especially, with the addition of "verification levels" on some communities.

Now, there is a community called "Newcomers' Community". If you check that one, you will see that it asks someone to do certain tasks to be verified. It's totally taking a turn from what it was before.
