RE: Unlikely
and you see that person as a threat.
That's the crux of this conversation.
When anyone's opinion doesn't align with us we immediately see that person as a threat.
Only intelligent and open minded people are ready to challenge their thought process and listen different school of thoughts.
As a matter of fact, new generation is actually very disrespectful toward their elders for sure.
The wanna be heard and seen so they have the loudest voice in the discussion.
They call it confidence and their parents become happy seeing their kids are fluently speaking(disrespecting) others.
One generation taught their kids to shut up altogether and one generation didn't teach their kids to shut up for once.
About my grandmothers? O my God, both of them were so naive and wouldn't dare to speak their minds. Here women were usually the same like them. We also have real B*** women who will only fight in a very vulgar manner.
It's better not to speak than to speak shit i think.
We are swinging from one extreme to another.
However, one can change this attitude by changing their surroundings.
I only got the chance to participate in healthy discussion in my university life. Forget about school and college days when there was no concept of talking to the students besides their academic course.
And I'm so thankful that now i can engage in a healthy criticism on steemit with intellectual people as I'm speaking to one:)
Rude people always existed, and so did fighters. Male and Female. Plenty of women refused to get married and lived their lives alone, in a way they liked or made them less unhappy. Many of them might have been called witches (but how they were needed in case of need), others whores, women did wear men's clothes to survive, fought in wars, worked in factories, sailed the 7 seas (or more). I have an interesting history book about this (one has to find a way to survive).
On the other hand, women did rule (Cleopatra) and also are nasty persons (see some present women ruling).
Shouting: I've been taught that the louder the voice the lower the intellect and also the less right. Is it always true? I don't think so it depends on the person. Frustration, not being taken seriously is a reason to raise one's voice and if it comes to women: they have to work twice as hard to achieve the same as men. It's also interesting that if women behave the same as men they are called harsh, bitches, and cruel but men are compared with heroes, and courage.
Of course, this isn't always true and sensitivity plays a role so does self-esteem.
Like you (and my friends and children) we all deal with the same issues: where to find an intelligent person to have a discussion with? To exchange ideas? My son for example says he can't marry a girl without brains. It would drive him crazy. On the other, hand there are plenty of men going for the "stupid blond" because it feels better for their ego.
We all have issues with loud people, those who shout, gossip and say "Whatever you want is fine". I guess if you know yourself it's better to stay on your own instead of being with someone (friends included) you consider sheep or brainless.
Here we speak out, and share but we are not super talkative so it's worth listening if someone speaks. I do tend to believe that it's better to keep silent instead of talking just to make noise.
Shouting has nothing to do with confidence but a lack of it otherwise people would listen.
It's good to have normal discussion, isn't it? I am happy to talk with you too. What's the next drama we will watch?
I have no idea as of now, last time i watched vincenzo, heard about it?
Next i saw a few clips of the Glory and thought to continue it but it felt too depressing one.
I'm more into dramas where you find a good laugh as well as content:)
What about you? Have you watched king the eternal monarch?
No didn't watch Vincenzo but saw "The Glory" which I find great. Can be because I am a therapist and worked with terribly abused people (female and male) and these situations exist, theviolence and sociopaths just like rapists get away with it and fon't change. Wesay we raise, correct little children (do we?) but adults are not corrected?
The king... I heard of and reminds me of another film.
I let you know if I watched something with more fun. 😁
I doubt it. If we don't correct children when they're doing something wrong then it will surely gonna show in their adulthood.
And i also believe that we learn from the actions of our parents and surroundings. Only Pep talk is not gonna work but you have to lead by example.
Be your child's parent and not friend.
I'm wating for your next watch😉
