RE: Safety Net

"I have no idea what to comment"t, is a frequently said answer used to defend the lack of interaction and with that the lack of engagement and investment in keeping Steemit a lively place to be (long sentence indeed but for sure you are able to understand or translate what is meant.. if not take your time to think).

But the question is, do all writers expect to be commented on on their posts? Or maybe they don't even expect our comments to be in their posts, I know the only way that is easiest for anyone to do social interaction on Steemit is comments, this will always be visible, but the question above still arises, do they hope our comments on their posts?

It's true that people's tastes are different, and humor is liked by almost everyone, but did you know that we've said jokes about comments but received the reply "watch your attitude so you don't get annoying", what do you think about that?

Everyone likes to be read and how can one know someone did if there's no comment? One that makes sense and is personal?
If they still expect it is something different. If you always post without receiving any response you stop checking your notifications. You post and most likely leave and are happy if you are rewarded a bit.
Some for sure don't care because a comment means you have to answer which takes time.

Humour?
Sooner or later you will always step on someone's toes. Everyone has a past and some are always hostile, some always think the worst, there are people without a sense of humour, there are who never heard of irony and there are who believe you are joining while the comments is meant seriously. Can this be avoided? I don't think so. Most of us translate and how we express ourselves differ. We also have a different way of thinking and expressing ourselves.
The only thing one can do is ask: what do you mean to say which is hard for most people since they already labelled the speaker.

I don't think there's any way to avoid this. It's not only a difference in culture bu more likely IQ/intellect/education combined with a certain character.
Which options are left? If the comment is not liked ignore the writer in the future and find some like-minded. There are plenty of people one can interact although it takes time to find them (sharing the same interests is a good start).

I wonder how you feel if you receive such an answer. Did you receive these answer from a certain group of people in same coutry or foreigers?
Is it lack of humour or a threat?
