The Keys to Growth

in Steem4Nigeria2 months ago

Hello, Steemians! It's a pleasure to write on a new topic "keys to growth" brought to us by @sahmie. Growth is quite essential in life as being stagnant is one attribute that shouldn't be named amongst people who intend to make impact and to achieve milestones that are worth celebrating and emulating.

What does it mean to grow and how can you rate your level of growth on the Steemit platform.

To me, growing (to grow) entails making visible and significant progress. It could also mean adding virtue or knowledge to oneself and becoming more productive in one's endeavours.

As a newbie, on a scale of 100%, I'd rate my level of growth on Steemit, 60%. I rate my growth level on Steemit to be 60% because I really haven't put in all the energy I had envisaged to. Sometimes I could have the nudging to do some participation on the platform but then having the motivation is another thing.

I have observed and studied some persons who are really active and hardworking on the platform, like @bossj, @nsijoro, @ngoenyi and many more, their growth level is one that is commendable and worth emulating. I have been able to see how well they could manage their time on the platform and also how well they kept adjusting to perfection. Of course, it is said that we all have different degrees at which we grow and I am doing my best to go at the pace of my own degree of growth. Putting in the necessary work is my goal on the Steemit platform.

What are some challenges you've faced or still facing in your bit to grow on the platform.

In a bid to grow on this prestigious platform, I have had points where I felt torrents of discouragement weighing me down. Sometimes, it's something I can manage but the other times I end up allowing it have its way. I'm a student and balancing my academic life with being active here on the Steemit platform is one very big challenge that I am facing. Although, I am still trying to find a balance to this.

Trying to couple lectures, assignments, term papers, and other research work with being active here on Steemit is courage demanding and mental energy consuming. I really do admire those who are able to do this and I would really love to know their hack and how they get their encouragement.

How does consistency and staying committed contribute to your growth and progress on Steemit?

With the short period of time I have been consistent and committed to making contents here on the steemit platform, my growth level has really increased unlike to he few times I really wasn't consistent.

I know that consistency and commitment has contributed to my growth and progress on Steemit because

  • reading contents from a lot of people on the platform has widened my knowledge on the subject matter being written on.
  • learning the markdown styles has added an extra advantage to me because I can apply some of these rules to my work to make it neat.
  • learning to make original works has taught me discipline and integrity.
  • sticking to rules cut out for contests has helped me more in building discipline as a virtue.
Share with us some of the key habits or practices you have developed to support your growth and success on the platform?

Developing habits to support growth and success is one step that cannot be overemphasized. Some habits I have been able to develop to support my growth and success on the Steemit platform are:

  • making sure my work is original.
  • ensuring I stick to the rules for any contest.
  • making sure I support other writers' works to the best of my ability.

I hope to always do the best I can to see that my growth level increases as each day goes by.

Thank you @Steem4Nigeria for having me. I want to invite @nsijoro, @imadear and @darasimi to participate in this contest.

I think you are doing well, there is no motivation here than striving to be like others, I know we have different pace at which we grow but if you look up to someone you will see you level of grow increase. Combining academics and steemit is very challenging that sometimes I feel I should have known steemit before coming in here but it was all God's plan, I discover our world is revolving and I know in few year to come out consistently here will pay off, just like content creators are being well paid on YouTube and Facebook very soon steemit will be same, already a lot have received substantial rewards already. I am saying this to encourage you and put in more work here. Already you are doing well academically so balancing it with Steemit shouldn't be a problem. You said I am consistent but I think I am just trying and I need more energy. My dear friend, Put in work, and more strength and your consistency will pay off. You can also be a source of motivation to @dwings tag him too, maybe in your next post, I would love to read more from you guys.
