The castle was built round about the year 1050... After destroying by french invaders in 1151 it stood a ruine until 1680. An investor, Ravenèm bought the castle and rebuilded it. It belonged to his family the next 200 years. In 1870 the "Deutsches Reich" bought the castle from Ravenès grandchilds. Since than it's in public hands... It's an interesting historie and I'm glad that we can hear about and watch today, too...
