Café du Monde is a café with its own bakery in New Orleans. Its main store has been on Decatur Street on the edge of the historic French Quarter since 1862. It is famous for its fritters and chicory coffee and is considered a tourist attraction. Café du Monde is open 24 hours a day, except on the Christmas holidays and during a hurricane.
