Recreation is an activity that amuses people, make people happy and diverts attention, enabling pleasing time amongst friends and family and even with self. On today's episode of our favorite recreation activity, I'm choosing MOVIES.

I especially love watching movies both as a hobby and as a recreation past time. Most times, if I need time alone to myself or I'm trying to escape reality, movies are my go to. It makes me feel understood some times, I learn a lot of new things about a place, lifestyle, ideas or just generally about people and about life just by watching movies. Movies bring the world to my comfort zone and expands my horizons and dreams.

I also watch movies in my recreation time because it is an unlimited source of entertainment. I could be having a bad day and decide to watch a comedy movie and suddenly I'm in high spirits. It also creates nostalgia for me by evoking fond memories whenever I see a particular scene or storyline.

Watching movies as a recreational activity has several benefits, few of which are that;

• It is a source of stress relief and anxiety as it provides a healthy distraction for people.

• Movies that portray foreign languages exposes viewers to the different cultures, history and lifestyle of that particular country including improved languages skills and understanding.

• Movies can also inspire creativity and imagination, offers a variety of genres such as romance, action, science fiction, comedy, thrillers and fantasy, etc. Such genres are special in their own unique way and develops emotional intelligence in viewers.

One such genre I enjoy sometimes is Romance or Rom-Coms.

And the movie that has been making my recreation time very appealing these past few weeks is a favorite movie series I've been waiting for after the release of the first two seasons some years ago.

The third season was just released bringing my favorite characters to the spotlight and it was everything I hoped for and imagined.

This movie series is called BRIDGERTON named after an important family in the movie. The movie series dates back to the 90's in London. The Bridgerton family is the focus of the movie and about the children finding love, getting married and making their way in society.

These 8 Bridgertons are named alphabetically from Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory to Hyacinth. And the first two seasons that just finished was the story of Daphne and Anthony. This particular season that started this year is about the story of the third son Colin.

Apparently Colin is the most eligible bachelor of the season, trying to find his place in the world and then there's Penelope, next door girl and friend to Colin and former best friend to Eloise. She's loved Colin for as long as but Colin only sees her as a friend. Every year, eligible young ladies are presented as debutants for the marriage mart and must find a husband before the season ends.

** Penelope has successfully gone through 2 seasons without finding a match and she feared her chances will be over.** There is a scandal newspaper that is always printed every week talking about famous households of the ton and a mysterious Lady whistledown is behind the scandals and gossip.

It has been impossible to find this Lady whistledown, but all this while, Penelope is behind it. But in this season, I don't like how the script writers made it so easy for a bitter young lady who didn't care about lady whistledown's location to find her and tried to blackmail her if she didn't reveal her identity.

And I also feel like the director didn't give us more of Colin and Penelope's romance because they later confessed their love for each other and got married but it seems they brought in other people's story into their own, like Francesca's story and then Penelope being there for her family after they treated her an outcast and the queen revealing Penelope's identity.

It was actually a very nice and much anticipated series that had a happy ending and I enjoyed even though I would have liked more of my favorite characters scenes.

In all, I enjoy movies like this during my recreation because it gives me the opportunity to critique some scenes, appreciate my favorite characters and see the creativity of the villains there.

I also think people should add movies to their recreation activity because it's offers a wide range of benefits asides the entertainment.
