Being a parent is one of the most difficult and crucial tasks entrusted to humans by the creator.

It is your duty as a parent to ensure the safety of your kids, give and show them love, protect them from any form of abuse, tutor and Educate them, as well as giving them access to quality healthcare.

This also includes providing food, shelter and clothing for these minors because it is their right to have all these.

Indeed, parenting is not easy at all because parents to do all that and more not just for a year or two but until the children have grown to become adults capable of taking care of themselves financially and otherwise.

Do you really love your parents?

Yes, I love my parents so much. They are the only support system I have always known. They are the ones that have shaped me to the woman I am today. The pictures you see above are my parents and I.

Why do you love them? Tell us how important they are to you.

Growing up as a kid, I didn't really love my parents that much because I felt they didn't pamper me enough, we felt they were too strict.

Their rules were like this:

• You either eat what we have in the house or stay hungry.

• You don't barb low cut hair, tell the barber man to scrap everything.

• You must not beg or eat in other people's houses.

• You must obey us because God says so and many more.

But as I grew older, I came to appreciate them the more for the way I was brought up. That strict training in addition to the biblical discipline I received from them has made me who I am today.

As a Mom now, I am beginning to appreciate my parents the most because it is not easy To Carter for a Child but they catered for six children, making sure we never go to bed on an empty stomach or stay back home when other kids are in school.

Infact my parents deserve an Award

How do you show your love to them?

The only way I can show my parents how much I loved them was to listen and obey them. Follow their fine examples. And to refrain from doing things that will be shameful and reproachful to them.

As they are growing older, it will be my responsibility to take Good care of them. They gave me a memorable childhood and Jehovah's willing I pray to make their old age an enjoyable one by providing financial and emotional support for them.

When do you show your love to them?

Giving is one way to show how grateful and how much we love someone. So once in a while I make sure I buy for them those things I know that they love. Like getting them beverages because they love drinking tea.

I also show my love for them by always keeping in touch and making sure I visit them on a regular basis for them to see their grandson.

What have you learned from your parents?

I learnt so much from them. The attribute I love so much about them is Resilience, giving up when challenges come is never an option for them. They look for a solution to that problem and if that problem seems difficult to handle they turn to God in prayer immediately, leaving it for him to take control.

They taught me that giving up should never be an option, that challenges are part of life. I should rely on Jehovah and put faith in him. And when it comes to child upbringing, I will emulate some of their patterns.

Conclusion

Parents are our superheroes on earth. They are ready to sacrifice a lot just to give their kids the best.
May God bless every parent and give them the will power to bring their children up in his will.
