Where Can We Find Good Entertainment

Any activity or event that relaxes, provides a kind of diversion and enjoyment during leisure such that we get distracted from the worries of everyday life, such activities will be referd in this post as entertainment.

Entertainment comes in a variety of forms which if we were to call each form a category, then we will have sub categories.
Lets take music for an example. Under music we can have a concerts, festivals, streaming and radio.

Taking Movies as a form of entertainment, it could be in the form of cinema, streaming services or DVDs. We also have entertainment in the form of Sports which includs live events, TV broadcasts and online streaming.

Our choice of Entertainment can have real profound effects in our lives, as it has the power to shape, transform and educate. You may have noticed the uniting power of football among its fans. Some are so moved that they treat footbal like a religion.

Children practice moves, kicks and dialogues after watching an action movie from Holywood, reenactment of the fight scene in the movie, or a move they got watching a wrestling match.

Some forms of entertainment has real therapeutic value, reducing stress, promoting relaxation and improved mental health.

Some have become adicted to watching movies and sitcoms such that the time spent glued to the TV screen could have been used to care for homework or finish-up assigned tasks. At the end they may have picked up some lines made up of a few slangs, swear words and profanity.

Over the years the entertainment industry has evolved and the thoughts, ideas and concepts that pass censorship in entertainment this days are alarming, resulting in the proliferation of potentially harmful, disturbing or offensive conten such as

• Increased glorification of violence, sex, and substance abuse
• Normalization of harmful behaviors or attitudes
• Objectification or exploitation of marginalized groups
• Desensitization to important social issues

It takes more effort and energy to cook your own food and will require some creativity to have variety. Despite this odds, you will get the best from the food you cook compared to what you can buy at a restaurant or fast food. Likewise, you will get the best entertainment that meets your need and amplify the values and personalities you will love to develop in your kids.

Here are some fun activity you could create for your kids:

1. Treasure Hunts:
   You can hide clues and small treasures around the house or backyard for a fun adventure. Cteate a map that tells how to find it.

2. DIY Crafts:
   Set up a craft station with materials like paper, glue, scissors, and paint for creative expression. Make hats, bags and any useful items

3. Indoor Camping:
   Set up a tent or a "fort" in the living room for a cozy camping experience. Only items approved for the camping will be used.

4. Cooking or Baking:
   Engage your kids in the kitchen with simple recipes, teaching them about measurements and mixing as it is approprate for their age.

5. Science Experiments:
   Create a homemade volcano, make slime, or grow crystals for a fun science experience.

6. Movie Nights:
   Set up a projector or big screen, make some popcorn, and enjoy a family movie night. Do not depend on the movie ratting, watch it first.

7. Dance Parties:
   Put on some fun music, call in few kids to add to the fun and have a dance party with glow sticks, balloons, or flashlights.

8. Scavenger Hunts:
   Create a list of items for kids to find around the house or neighborhood, which will be used to create or build something fun.

9. Storytelling:
   Create a story together, taking turns adding to the plot and using imagination.

10. Backyard Games:
    Set up a badminton or cornhole game, have a water balloon toss, or create a mini obstacle course with household items, Blindfolded a kid and let another kid direct him how to walk through the obstacles.
