Addiction in different ways had become a great problem to most individuals mentally, physically and emotionally. I
On of the good way to approach addiction is with empathy and understanding. Addiction is a disease that requires support and treatment.

What is Addiction?

Addiction can said to be a condition whereby
individual get used to compulsive drug use or engagement in a particular behavior, despite it harmful consequences. It is alway tag along with a strong craving and desire for the substance or behavior, which are difficult to control or stop putting in practice.

Addiction can involves many substance and behaviours which It is considered as a chronic disease that affects the brain reward system.

There different forms of addiction, let's discuss it below.

• Substance addiction: This refer to the act of being addicted to hard drugs, alcohol, or other substance which may turn up to be harmful.

• Internet addiction: This refer to the act of excessive use of the internet, which leads to neglecting of other aspects of life that may be very important.

• Food addiction: This refers to a compulsive need to eat, which result as obesity.

• Gambling addiction: This refers to a situation in which individual see's it compulsory to gamble, this automatically leade to financial and personal problems.

• Gaming addiction: : gaming addiction is one of the addiction individual spend much of his/her time for video games, neglecting others responsibilities left.

• Pornography addiction: This is act in which individual practice a compulsive need to view pornography or taking part, which has a lot of negative effects in relationships.

I can only be called addiction when a particular thing is done continuously and in excessive manner, finding difficult to stop.

For this reason it negative effects overwhelm the whole situation, let's talk about it's impact to our in relation to our society.

• Health problem: Addiction do leads to a lot of health issues, both physically and mentally. Substance abuse e.g hard drugs and alcohol can damage our vital organs, increase the risk of infections and diseases and mostly cause mental health disorders.

• Increased crime rates: most time substance abuse linked to criminal activities in the society. Addicted individuals may resort to theft, drug trafficking and other illegal activities to satisfied their addiction.

• Financial burden: Addictions mostly leads to financial instability. The addicted individual may spend a huge amount of their income on purchasing substances such as hard drugs or gamble and loss, this leads to hardship and poverty.

• Public health problem: most time addiction contributes to public health problems example, spreading of infection diseases like HIV/AIDS.

In Conclusion

Addiction requires a good and understanding approach that includes, treatment prevention, education and alot of support as it is very difficult to stop this chronic disease. Also By understanding the negative effects of addiction on individuals and the society at large will help our citizens to get theirselves rid of the danger of addiction.
