Hey Steemians! It's another wonderful day for us all. Hope you all are doing okay. The weather feels just right. It's hot in the part of the world i stay in, and I decided to share this with y'all. It's about music. I'll like to start by explaining what I feel music is.

What is music?

Music can mean different things to different people. To me, music is magical, it is a universal language than can relate cultures. It is the beauty of sound. It makes us want to dance or sing, feel happy and sad. It has the power to brighten a dull day, bring a smile to a sad face, encourage and lift a broken soul. Music is food for the soul and a gift to humanity.

Origin of music

Music is part of the human culture that should go back 35,000 years ago. Starting from Eastern Europe then to the Magdalenian. That's about all I know 🤣. Funny isn't it?

Types of Music

Rock: also known as Rock & Roll. Having it's roots from string instruments like the guitar.
Jazz
Electronic Dance Music: also known as EDM, created by DJs who combine a variety of beats and tones to create something special.
Dubstep: is a subgenre of the EDM.
Techno: is another subgenre of the EDM.
R&B: Rhythm and Blues mixes gospel, jazz, and blues. It is one of the world's top music genre.
Country
Pop: got from the word "popular"
Indie Rock: a form of music that lies between Rock and Roll music and pop music.
Electro

Music is such a huge part of our lives that most of us don't even know it. It can also impact our health positively, research has revealed that music has a lot of health benefits. Here are a few:

It increases workout endurance:

I'm a big testimony to this. Whenever I workout, listen to music helps me keep going, and when I don't listen to music I feel a drop in my endurance level.

It can uplift your mood:

like I said earlier, it can bring a smile to a sad face.

It helps with stress:

Listening to music helps reduce our stress levels as the right song can come us and send a peace through your soul, beautiful isn't it?

It relives depression:

Music has been shown to help relieve depression and bring hope, joy and motivation to a broken soul.

It helps learning:

Listening to music while reading can help you understand and read better.

It connects us:

Music concerts brings people together, love songs help couple bond,lullabies strengthen parents and child relationship.

Music has a strong influence on the human mind and body. We get a pure magical feeling anytime we listen to it and don't you think it's surprising how just sounds, beats and tones can greatly impact or health and mood.
