CONTEST: Instilling Discipline In A Child, How Is It Done In Your Locality
Good day once more. Today we are going to be focusing on discipline, this is something we don't grow to overcome.
So we will talk more about it and know how it works and how it can help us.

I said we don't grow to overcome it, I mean that discipline is not only for kids, adults and parents can also be disciplined in one way or the other, so discipline is for all thats why I find this contest as going to be ab interesting one, though specifically it's for the children now.
So to continue let's first know what exactly discipline is...
What Is Discipline
In my own words, I will say that discipline is a kind of educative punishment or training that is being given to someone, a child or other people.
Or I can also say it's a proper home training carried out by parents and seniors on the children.
So take it either ways it's just a form of education, it is used to teach.
What Forms Does Discipline Take In Your Locality?
I am from Igbo land, that is to say that every Igbo person in this community knows how, primarily, Igbo people does their own discipline.
In Igbo land, we are highly disciplined, well trained and mentored. Earlier the Igbo people believed that discipline is all about using a strong hand, so they took flogging the children when they need to be disciplined as their major hobby then.
But now, due to advanced education and technology, we have grown wiser, better and advanced in descipline. Meaning that we have many forms of discipline here.
What Usually Give Rise To Discipline In My locality
Here, children are always stubborn, not even here, in the world today children have grown into something else, and this calls for discipline.
When children disobey their parents or elders it also call for discipline, there are also a lot of things that they do that makes them need to be desciplined, and we should not faile or hesitate to discipline them when they need it, and please not only they or them oo, I'm also a child so I'm among the ones that needs discipline :D
How The Kids Responded To Discipline In My Locality
Kids below the age of 16, always need discipline cause they are inexperienced and don't know how to do many things, regardless that most of them are very smart, and also obedient.
Sometimes when they are being disciplined some cry while some don't,
You know when I was below that age too, my Mom isn't the type that flogs, but I can remember once she flogged me, all I thought of was going out of the house. Cause I always think I'm right and don't deserve to be flogged, so I know that many kids today always think they are right in what ever they are doing, and discipline is needed to tech them.
Best Forms Of Disciplines To Be Given To A Child
Every one have his or her own recommended form of discipline with their reasons behind it.
But what you have to know is that every child is not going to be the same, what worked for you might not work for another person, so I won't specify one thing, rather I will suggest and recommend them.
So number one, this is the form at which I was raised, and that is not about flogging the child. When a child does something wrong, leave him or her, maybe in the morning after sleeping call them up and remind them of what they have done,
Then tell them how you feel when they did that, if it's something bad, let them know that it is a sin even before God, and when talking to your children like the bible says that you should teach them, while laying down, while walking, while sitting down and working, so you should always teach them, and base your teachings on the bible, if they learn the value of the bible, they will have the fear of God and that will help them grown to maturity.
Again, teaching them by example, it is scientifically proven, that 75% of what children does they learn it from their parents or care givers, so let's always do good things while the kids are still around.
And lastly on my recommendation list is, flogging. Yes amongst all, this is one of the most effective way to discipline a child, even if it's a year old, just like one woman, she will tell you to get a Cain of the child's size, when the child acts silly, you habe to flog him or her as their level requires. So when a child goea wrong, and become wild, Cain and flogging is welcomed...
While Discipline Is important In A Child's Life?
It's very important in the life of children's that even the bible tells us that
"foolishness is bound up in the heart of a boy,
but the rod of discipline will take remove it far from him".
proverbs 22:15
Yeah this is what the bible says, to show how important it is to discipline a child,
They know nothing that's whild it says that foolishness is bound up in their heart, you can see them doing a lot of crazy things and misbehaving.
So that when you have to employ your rod of discipline, which is any form of discipline you think will be more effective.
So may we keep on disciplining them
What Should Be The Right Motive When Discipline Is Given
When a child revieves discipline from the dad, mom, or elders. Especially when they do something wrong, the best motive is to feel sorry, and say thank you.
