Happiness does not depend on a partner, happiness is in you and how you perceive life. It is nice to have a partner to live new experiences, remember together, talk about politics, religion, work, dreams, desires, hobbies, laughter, support in sadness, etc. but it could well be a friend, brother, father... without the need to have a love relationship.
