Devilled Soya Meat | "අද බයිට් සෝයා මීට්" 😋😋 😋 | 5% for SL charity

Two eat everything. One Allergist except for Chicken and the other one, eats everything except pork. Everyone eats Soya meat. This is the multitude of the family eating pattern.

Soya meat curry is not our favorites. When preparing soya meat curry has to put many curry powders to get desired taste but Devilled is having a mouthwatering taste, sometimes better than devilled meat.



I'm not a professional Chef having a luxury kitchen but like to share the taste we always entertain. Vegetarian food lovers who always miss the chance of having Devilled food, steaks, and fried meats have a real chance to taste the food not second to meats.

ingredients to be:

1.0 Soya meat 250gm ( Large type)
2.0 Chopped B onion 100g / add pinch of salt powder
3.0 Chopped or blended Garlic 10g / small cuts of Curry leaves
4.0 Malu Miris ( capsicum) 50gm
5.0 Salt small quantity
6.0 Chilli powder, pepper powder & crushed chili powder as per your taste

Plus
1.0 A little vegetable oil for frying.
2.0 Tomato sauce, Oyster sauce & soya sauce as per your taste (not compulsory)



On any occasion, you can serve it.

Method

Earlier I used to boil Soya meat with some salt but later I identified that it affects the taste.
Keep soya meat in saltwater for an hour. A small quantity of salt is enough.
Then squeeze soya meat to remove all water. Mix with chilli powder and keep it for a while.

Add two tablespoons of oil and heat. Add Soya meat mixture after the oil gets the required heat. I use a nonstick pan with a glass lid.

Heat soya meat till becoming it rich golden brown colour. Then remove fried Soya meat. Add another tablespoon of oil and put Chopped B onion, garlic, curry leaves into the frying pan. Heat till becoming brown colour. You can sense the smell of tempered garlic.

Mix the soya meat with the B Onion mixture. Mix properly. Keep your lid closed all the time.
Add salted capsicum. Keep the lid closed.



Add crushed Chilli, pepper powder, and a tablespoon of sugar.
Add a tablespoon of Soya sauce, two tablespoons of Oyster sauce, and mix thoroughly. Finally, mix three tablespoons of Tomato sauce. Heat over low heat.

As a experience chef, What do you prefer as best? I mean type of soya meat.

Type-based on added flavors? No, Nothing, We use loose soya meat and add some locally made ingredients. But soya meat curry is not having good demand. We have to try some new methods. 😋😋Thank you
