Personally, I have come to the realization and agreement that just as it is in the physical space that only those who are actually buoyant financially and without any financial worries get to appreciate art well even with their hard earned money and so it is on platforms such as these, people tend to see the pieces and say to themselves and the artists that the pieces are beautiful but they really can't put their money on it. I can't count how many time I personally I've been attacked for withdrawing steem or powering down.......
I buy art materials every now and then, there are so much reoccurring cost that goes into play and this is one of the reasons why some friends I've invited in the past find it really difficult to cope around here. Like @joslud said in his comment, if we are looking at another platform for artists outside steemit maybe that could work and if it would be on steemit, then there is so much to be done!
@hefestus in your proposal in creating this support funds for artists, what would be or what are going to be the principal expectations from the artists?
You forgot to mention you do receive help. May I remind you I did buy a painting of yours and there was no need to send it? Would you have had this option without Steemit?
Next to that I also wonder how ronthroop manages to create art on a low budget without buying all the expensive stuff. I might be good to stay in touch with other artists and hear and learn from them wat's possbile.

You've been such a darling angel and one of the reason I am still very much active around here because of all you do and I am genuinely grateful for t hat. Thank you so much. Talking about cost of materials for Artists, I would love to let you know that region is a great factor affecting that, I am based in Africa and we do not produce any of these things but only import them all which is a great disadvantage if you ask me............................

I also notice that art is more demanding if it comes to what is used. I wonder if there are still artists working with creativity if it coes to tools and techniques

Dear @tezzmax, I don't yet have a proposal. The purpose of the white book is to build that proposal considering eveyone's input. About artists, the only expectation is for them to do what they do: to create art.
The outcome of the white book should be a balanced way of supporting those that are in specially challenging life conditions to be able to do so.
