My attempt.
A QUICK RUN THROUGH!
You mapping out your shape lightly.
Throw your Scribble strokes around within the shape; this is you covering your middle tone areas.
This is your throwing more scribble strokes around in order to create more depths and contrast.
This is your defining your drawing by shading part of the background that is against your light source and also shading your shadow areas.

This is my first time doing this. 😅 Big thanks to @wakeupkitty for inviting me to this contest. I had fun scribbling though I don't think I did well. 😁
My first attempt using pencil.
2nd attempt using ballpoint pen.
@alexanderkass @bluelavender guys try this out😃

This looks great! 🤩
I tried this but I am already influenced by a different way of scribbling because of a friend. I do like this so I try to do it differently but I have no idea where to start.
Did you do it before or draw before? Do you have a version with your own choice of light x shadow? Pen dus look more clear than pencil and fewer lines or?
What do you think @stef1 @joslud @tezzmax?
🍀♥️
Hi, @ despiertakitty.pal
You are right, an impressive doodle. I admire that talent.
Dear friend, today I understand you when you told us how hard it can be to lead the learning challenge.
I am experiencing it firsthand, but it is very rewarding,
@tezzmax is collaborating as an illustrator this week, take a look.
I am also backing this contest

I had a look and left a comment although I am not sure if it is what you expected.
It's good to see you don't take the easy way and short stories are in the picture. There's way more time invested in it than people think. Each word counts and should make one think.
I am not sure if it was rewarding to me, I hope it was to those who joined since that was the goal and like inspiracion said a teaching model was set. Perhaps that is another helpful part for others?
A great day to you and thanks for stopping by and leaving the link.
🤗🍀♥️
I haven't done this before. I just followed the steps, took notice on parts that have much lighter shade and those with darker ones. Thanks for the positive remarks although I still have long way to go with this. 😄 Yes, a pen is more suited for the job. The pencil I used is for prototyping - a mechanical pencil 😅 maybe that's why it looked less defined?

Trust me, the pencil is also fine. With time you'll understand it all better. It's not so hard neither is it something to be learnt in a day. It's all "Poco a Poco".
I am sending you come hand claps right away! 👏👏👏
This is really impressive. You've got it. It's a great foundation to build on trust me.
Thank you for your positive feedback! I know there’s always room for improvement, and I'll see if I can do better next time.
Hi @henryclive, I think you should work on light and shadows in order to make your drawing more realistic, here is a great tutorial of Jorge
https://steemit.com/hive-185836/@jorgevandeperre/drawing-like-a-pro-60-masterclass-light-and-shadows-power-up-100
You're precisely right. I'll note that. I checked the linked you provided but I wonder can we apply those reference lines on round objects? . Thanks btw for sharing the link
Finally, here is my entry! So far as I look, it is the worse take among all others, lol. Took me six hours of procrastinating and 2 minutes of drawing.
It is too late to call any of my friends to join the party but still. I alert @zpzn, @zorank and @photoparadise on this.

I don't think it's bad at all. It is scribbling and you showed your own style which is not only allowed but the idea.
You used a marker or?
It's as if aliens show up any minute.

Yes, brown marker was used (lended it from my baby).
As for this grid-esque style for shading - perhaps I repeated what I saw in copper engravings.
Copper engravings, that's interesting.
Lol.... Procrastination really had its hold on you 😂😂😂
But ill gald you eventually made your entry. It's a beautiful attempt trust me.
Every student has to start somewhere, if he has plans to become a professor one day xD
Thank you for kind words! And next time.
Sure.
Welcome to our Art school then. 😊😉
Greetings to all artists and art lovers. Today, I tried to draw an oval shape using the scribbles technique. In which, I tried show the spotlight on upper right side of the oval shape and the lower left side shading with line to show its oval shape.
Steps
@zisha-hafiz , @tammanna and @imranhassan i am sure you guys can draw an oval shape better 😉
Thanks

Strangely enough I like the smaller pictures more can be because I see it from a bigger distance (phone underneath my nose).
Your oval - eggy looks super. It just feels as if the shadow on the 2nd picture is more in place.
Will you scribble from now on? How about your son? I wonder if children like this.
Super entry @rashid001
A big hug to you

Thanks a lot for your lovely remarks.
You make a great point! Small pictures often appear more appealing since minor imperfections are less noticeable.
Unfortunately, my son couldn't view this drawing as he's occupied with school during the day and exhausted by the time he returns home in the evening. His priority is studying right now.
Would you be interested in seeing more of my scribble art?
Not even 10 minutes per day is your son allowed to scribble?
You know how I like your drawings and paintings so yes I love to see more from you.
Btw how long did it take you to scrible this and is it big or small?

This Sunday i will share my son's scribble drawing.
And Thanks for your encouraging words. I will share more of my work soon.
I took 5 minutes to complete this. You can see the time of first and last picture i have shared below. And paper size i think 15 cm × 5.3 cm not big size 1/4 of A4 Paper
You are a fast drawer and I look forward to see more from you and your son.
😁
I am just here clapping 👏👏👏👏.....

Thanks Dear Friend. Reading your remarks made me very happy.
And I would like to see what @wakeupkitty has to say about this drawing.
You're most welcome friend.
Maybe I could qualify for "abstract" scribble art?

A beautiful show if confidence once again! ❤️
Thank you for your encouragement. I will keep trying to improve... If it is acceptable to use colored pencil?
You're most welcome.
Yeah, you're absolutely free to use that.
I believe I did not comment yet on your abstract art "oval covered". I like it. It looks as if it pops out.
I wonder if your colour pencils are that good or you had to push hard. The ones we have will by far not give that much colour.
You kept me thinking for 2 days and I used the eye pencil. I will need to practice a bit more with it.
A great day dear friend.
🤗♥️🍀
Maybe if I do it with my eyes closed?
We should give that a try

This is beautiful.
It seems you didn't allow your camera focus before snapping? The picture seems blurred and one can really enjoy the true nature of your lines. Could you take a more clearer picture please?
I likeit and wish I could see how you draw this. Figures or just lines or '8's or?
It even looks soft at one side 😍

Thank you for the wake up call Kitty.
You are welcome!
@shahid76 @jpegg @nsijoro can you scribble an oval and leave it in the comment section?
Hmm, yes I can - should it be any special oval, or... what is it for?
edit:
Hmm, the task may seem to be not so easy for me! But I will try to do my best, hrgh.

It's not you can't do trust me. It's just you shading an oval shape. Just draw the over shape and shade it with some scribble and you're good to go!.
No one knows what you explain here 🤔
Next lesson you can explain what an "over shape" is and shades aren't easy next to the fact that if it comes to drawings it's also kind of free - artistic freedom.
You could explain that as well... Where the light is, the beams and how it creates a shadow.
👍🍀♥️
Okay. Noted.
@ezuntimmy where are thou friend?
Sorry brother been quiet occupied with work
Oh... So sorry
Take care, maybe the next round.

Lovely work bro !
Thank you bro.
Do you mind making an attempt to create your own drawing too?
Definitely I will give try. Thanks
I shall be waiting to see your lovely attempt.... Have a great day.
Really nice to see the second lesson, it is time for an attempt :)
Shall be waiting to you your wonderful attempt.
