Yes, it might be better. My youngest said the beggar told her not to be so greedy and give all the cash but she needed the rest to pay the bus back home. Tje truth is she rarely has breakfast and her first meal is if she's back from school (most cases om or later).
I told her not to give again and keep the money for herself. My son had similar experiences, van be it's the city?

I only see them here on the market but I believe the men make the women beg. They watch them from a distance. A pregnant young girl once approached me. I bought us food. She asked for money but said she was hungry so I gave her my seat and plate and stood behind her. I saw the angry face of that guy but at least she had a meal. I was shocked as I saw how hungry she felt.
In principal I don't give to smokers, drug addicts and alcoholics. Once I did to a guy on the parkinglot of the hospital. He helped me to find a free place, watched my car and I spoke with him. He showed his tumor in the abdomen. No doctor would help him so I thought he should buy what makes him feel good for the moment even if it's alcohol. He was kind and good company and what he needed most was someone to listen.

Once a neighbour asked me for money to buy groceries. I said I had none but food and more in the pantry and she could take her shopping bag and take what she needed (she had a baby and so did I). She said: no thanks.
What to think about that?
