Art Explained By A Writer - Ciego popular en Cádiz

art review 1807.jpg

Day after day, no matter the weather conditions he was present.
Always the same corner, always the same outfit and always that same expression on his face.
One foot set in front of the other, easy does it, no need to hurry. Time was at his hand.

Well known he was and popular.
Within one hour he easily received what others worked an entire week hard for. No one envied him but there was one who wondered how he did it. It had to be a trick, playing the pathetic, the boy thought. He looked healthy and could work as he'd noticed as he followed Mr. Popular to his home.

He waited like he used to do. The Sun on his face made it glow more than before.
Sir, the boy said, you know that what you do is a bad thing right? He paused... I guess you don't know since I never saw you in church...
How does it feel to be a fraud, a criminal, fooling people, abusing them?

Good, it works as you can see. Theatre it is. Don't you think I am a great actor? They pay to see me acting this way. I take care of their consciousness and make them feel better about themselves and their afterlife.

Like church, the child whispered.

Exactly.

That's why everyone likes you. Here's the deal teach me how to look blind and I won: tell your secret. You know what they say: Children speak the truth!

Its funny that this same boy who condemns this act is about to compromises, seeing so much fortunes acquired by that pretenced blind man, one thing I discovered is that when people do things the wrong way they then to modify the truth about it, imagine the pretender saying that they pay to see him act, he is a good actor anyways but nobody knows he is acting if not they wouldn't have paid to see that, some time ago in campus a claimed to be student walked up to me and said, he needed money to buy a file, I gave, later in the day I saw that same fellow eating an egg roll and a fruit juice higher than the amount I gave him, your story is true, but that young boy shouldn't compromise💕

That was a smartarse and he learned that if he asks everyone it's an easy income. You should have asked him to have a bite. Keep an eye on him or next time take it out of his hands and say: thanks for buying this for me, it's appreciated.

I experienced the same. We have Romanians "begging" with the entire family. They arrive in BMW and earn easily 500 euros per week per person if not more. No need to pay taxes and the villas they build are glitter and gold... the real beggars are scared away (read: threatened away).

For the boy (painting) it might be an exciting experience or who knows he loves acting. Let's be fair: how many will pay a ticket to a theatre?

A great Friday.

It's true that real beggars are scared away because this fake one's confuses us, there are people out there without support who genuinely need this alms, for the young boy I don't think he should try it out if he does he won't stop, nobody will pay to see him act because he never tried it out, 500 euros every weeks is huge for those without hard labour apart from the heat from the sun, I give to beggars but in rare cases because I have seen one that own a home because of begging

We are more careful today as well if it comes to aid. It feels as if they aren't happy (grateful) and my children have been several times harrassed and even scolded as they gave some money. Perphaps an apple of sandwich is better?

I believe I have already written what I think is going on. Let's see if the one who uses blindness to fool others is willing to teach a child how to do it. A child smart enough to see through the mascarade unlike the adults who help because they feel pity or more likely it makes them feel better about themselves.
Will they achieve heaven with their "generosity"? I don't think so.
