UPVU 2.0 is finally here, packed with new features!

We are very excited to announce that UPVU 2.0 has finally been released today! The UPVU platform has been launched with more powerful features to greatly improve the user experience of Steemians.

The past few days have been really hectic for us. There were some hurdles during the final development work for release, but we did our best to keep our promise to you and we made it!

Introducing UPVU 2.0!

UPVU 2.0 is a new 3rd-party web interface for interacting with the Steem blockchain and viewing blockchain data, built by forking Ecency (Ecency's github can be found here).

Test-bed for Steemit.com

Steemit.com is Steem's flagship front-end web interface, owned and managed by Steemit, Inc. In the past there were various third-party front-end alternatives, but now Steemit.com is the only front-end that Steem users completely rely on.

Since Steemit.com is an official web interface, there are many things to consider in terms of stability before adding new features or changing capacitors, and it is realistically very difficult to update experimental things quickly.

As members of the Steem community and one of the OGs, we know what Steemians want and need. The UPVU platform will be a test-bed for innovative experiments that can quickly deliver the features Steemian wants and significantly improve the user experience.

[NOTE] UPVU 2.0 Beta is optimized for desktop, and some features may not work properly on mobile browsers. Improvements to this are currently in progress.

Main Features

💡 (Getting Started with UPVU)

• On the right side of the main page, a new FAQ for beginners and Getting Started with UPVU tabs have been added.

💡 (UPVU Dashboard)

• The UPVU dashboard has become much faster and more powerful. A help function has been added so that you can check more details even if you are new to UPVU, and the contents will be continuously updated.

💡 (Saving Drafts)

• From now on, you can save drafts. If inspiration strikes, try accessing UPVU instead of notepad!

💡 (Scheduled Posts)

• On the writing screen, go to [Advance] - [Schedule] to use the scheduled posting function. Postings are automatically uploaded at the desired date and time!

• [NOTICE] Due to the scheduled posting function, you need to approve the transaction to delegate the posting key only for the 1st time when logging in to UPVU.

💡 (Writing Editor Tool)

• For those who have difficulty using Markdown, a writing editor tool is provided by default. Of course, you can also use MD to input directly into the input window.

💡 (Steem-Engine Wallet)

• Currently, Steem-Engine is in the process of recovery, so transaction history may not be displayed normally.

• After the DB is restored, you can use it normally. In addition, we are preparing to self-service Steem-Engine after recovery is complete.

(A) Do you have any plans to rebrand with a new name?

• Of course there are plans to do that, but for now we want to focus on development and delivery. A brand name that gets people's attention is important, but not a priority.

(B) Isn't the Steem-Engine dead?

• SE is currently in the process of restoring the database, which is expected to be completed by mid-December. It is necessary to think about how to continue the service even for the communities that were operating services based on SE.

(C) Can I contribute to translations?

• It is very important to provide services in the native languages ​​of various communities. Thank you for expressing your intention to contribute translations, and we will prepare for it.
