I am pleased to participate in 5th week of SLC Season 22. This week, I will be sharing Herbal Medicine for Menopause Support. So Let's start,

Menopause Tea Blend: Create a tea blend for the menopause support using at least 3 herbs. Document the ingredients, preparation steps, and benefits of herbs and remedy. (3 marks)


Menopause Tea Blend


Herbs Used In The Remedy

Green Cardamom2 pieces
Fennel seeds1/2 tsp
Water2 cup

Arrange Ingredients

First I gathered all the ingredients. Course teacher has mentioned to used atleast three herbs so I used Hemp seeds, Green Cardamom and fennel seeds. I will also use 2 mini cup of water for making tea.

Boil ingredients

Then I boil 2 cup of water and gradually add all the ingredients. First I add fennel seeds. Then I go with Green Cardamom and finally add the hemp seeds. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes.

Strain the liquid

Then, when the tea is ready, strain it in a cup.

Serve it warm

Then, I Serve warm. It would be great if we consume this tea twice a day, in the morning and evening.

fennel Seeds

It contains phytoestrogens, which act as natural hormone balancers. It helps in resolving bloating, indigestion, and other digestive problems during menopause.

Green Cardamom

It helps reduce flatulence, nausea, and indigestion, which are common in women during menopause. It plays an effective role in fighting stress, and its pleasant scent can also alter mood and reduce stress.

Hemp Seeds

It contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. We know about the importance of these two fatty acids, especially as they help reduce any inflammation and help balance hormones. It also contains a lot of magnesium, which improves sleep quality and reduces any kind of stress. Along with magnesium, it also contains calcium, which is very effective for bones.


Benefits of this remedy : This remedy is very effective and strong remedy which releif from menopause symptoms. Also suppoerts physical and emotional health during menopause.

  • This is very energetic food which provides complex carbohydrates and protein. this combat fatigue often experienced during menopause.

  • It also promotes healthy digestion and reducing bloating.


Flax seeds


Benefits
  • Regular consumption of flax seeds can reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flashes, which is very important during menopause.

  • Like hemp seeds, it is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, which support heart health, which is very important during menopause.

  • Its high fiber content improves intestinal health and helps reduce constipation, which is a common problem during menopause.


Herbal Bone Health Remedy: Create a remedy to support bone health. Use at least 3 herbs. Write the process, recipe and benefits of herbs and remedy. (3 marks)

Then I boil all the water and add ingredients. First I add Sesame seeds and then chopped ginger and finally 1 tsp ots.

boil it

Cover the pan and let it boil for 5 minutes.

Strain all ingredients

Strain the liquid into a cup and serve tea.

Very interesting and useful post! I especially liked the tea recipe – everything is simple, natural and healthy. I love it when simple ingredients like fennel and cardamom are used so effectively. The recipe for strengthening bones also impressed me – oats and sesame seeds are real superfoods! Thanks for such great ideas, I will definitely try it! 🌿💚
