The Game: Put Together the Most Nutritious Day That You Can! (Pre-Game info)

in #health8 years ago

Here is a list of healthy foods to prepare for a new healthy food game on steemit!

Including a list of some of the healthiest, most nutritious (whole) foods that are easier to find for many people compared to many other foods as many of this game main food items with some data readily available in a spreadsheet to help with scoring. This game is an evolution of a past idea that I thought of working with crypto somehow to reward people for eating well. Looked at numerous crypto projects and early forms of colored coins and couldn't find the right solution to bring my idea to life. Now being on Steemit for some time now I feel now is the time to try this idea out with the recent rise in the price of steem as well. This will allow for a decent prize pool and some steem for me to put in the time to manage this endeavor. Could possibly also pay some others to help with some things as this game could span across a few accounts. Will explain more over time. First going to share a list of foods that people may think about adding into their daily diets.

Basic Rules

Simply pick a list of foods to eat over the course of one day. Serving size will be considered one in all cases for the sake of simplicity. Submissions will be "scored" based on vitamin and nutrition fulfillment. This will be a broad estimate so as to not penalize people for their different needs. The idea is to think about addressing the missing nutrients and vitamins more than anything.

List of Foods

Asparagus, Avocado, Beets, Bell peppers, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Collard Greens, Cucumber, Eggplant, Fennel, Garlic, Green beans, Green peas, Kale, Leeks, Mushrooms, crimini , Mushrooms, shiitake, Mustard Greens, Olives, Onions, Potatoes, Romaine lettuce, Sea vegetables, Spinach, Summer Squash, Winter Squash, Sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, Tomatoes, Turnip Greens, Yams, Cod, Halibut, Salmon, Sardines, Scallops, Shrimp, Tuna, Apples, Apricots, Bananas, Blueberries, Cantaloupe, Cranberries, Figs, Grapefruit, Grapes, Kiwifruit, Lemon/Limes, Oranges, Papaya, Peaches, Pears, Pineapple, Plums, Prunes, Raisins, Raspberries, Strawberries, Watermelon, Cheese, grass-fed, Cow's milk, grass-fed, Eggs, pasture-raised, Yogurt, Grass-fed, Black beans, Dried peas, Garbanzo beans (chickpeas), Kidney beans, Lentils, Lima beans, Miso, Navy beans, Pinto beans, Soybeans, Tempeh, Tofu, Beef, grass-fed, Chicken, pasture-raised, Lamb, grass-fed, Turkey, pasture-raised, Almonds, Cashews, Flaxseeds, Olive oil, extra virgin, Peanuts, Pumpkin seeds, Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts, Barley, Brown rice, Buckwheat, Corn, Millet, Oats, Quinoa, Rye, Spelt, Whole wheat, Basil, Black pepper, Cayenne pepper, Chili pepper, dried, Cilantro/Coriander seeds, Cinnamon, ground, Cloves, Cumin seeds, Dill, Ginger, Mustard seeds, Oregano, Parsley, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Turmeric, Blackstrap molasses, Honey, Maple syrup

Journey on steemit and evolving ideas: Giveaway / Market of UIAs and Game of Health / Wealth with rewards

Please also feel free to provide feedback as parts of this game idea are still being brainstormed. Many old notes were found that went together over a period of months when originally thinking up this game idea.

Will provide information about what format submissions would be preferred.

Have a great day and eat well!

Soylent green. Has all you need.

Very nutrient dense plus all the calcium, fat, and probiotics in yogurt. Local honey is a staple food to me. I eat huge tablespoon allotment on top of peanut butter and toast couple times a week to help with any allergies to trees, etc. You have some great working man food there!

Bran muffin with a huge tablespoon of peanut butter on top, with glass of whole milk for breakfast. Lot's of work, two mile walk, and banana, pickle, lots of spinach, dressing, small bag of popcorn, small bag of potato chips, and water for lunch. Microwave meal (Stouffer's Sweet & Smoky BBQ - 490 calories), garden kale with cheese and tablespoon ranch dressing, and water for dinner. A small Krispy Kreme cruller for snack.

Today: Peanut butter on whole wheat toast with honey and glass of whole milk for breakfast. Lot's of spinach, broccoli, pickle, ranch dressing, couple strawberries, handful of peanuts, plenty of water for lunch.
