Why Kids Should Not Have Homework

In my opinion, kids should not have homework. I don’t think kids should have homework because of their health, freetime, and work time. You’re now going to read all about it.

My first reason why kids shouldn’t have homework is because of their health. If kids are stuck doing homework all day, they won’t have anytime for exercise.

Also, a lot of work could lead to sleep deprivation, unhealthy levels of stress, and depression. If kids do have sleep deprivation or stress, then they could fail a test even with a lot of homework.

Also, in a classroom setting, it is easier to work, and there are less distractions than at home. Plus, kids are already tired when they get home, they don’t need more homework. Kids need to learn in a classroom, and explore outside of one.

Lastly, if kids do homework at home, their parents might not be able to help them if they get stuck, which could also lead to stress.

In my opinion, kids should also get freetime. First of all, I think kids should get the same respect as adults. We work seven hours a day at school, they work seven hours a day at a job. When parents come home they could do anything since they don’t have any homework.

Kids should have a balanced lifestyle. This means that we also have to have free time. If kids do have free time, then they could spend time with family and refresh themselves. Kids might even get a better grade by doing that, instead of tons of homework.

Also, kids need a lot of exercise because their still growing. So when they have homework, they won’t have anytime for hobbies that could give them exercise.

My last reason why kids should not have homework, is because of work. Since older kids now have jobs, it could be really hard for them to do them because of all of their homework. By taking away homework, kids could start learning about life and money, which is also important to learn.

In addition, if kids are going to get out of school or college soon, why give them homework? They should focus their attention to finding a job.

Finally, if you’re going to give homework to anyone, give it to the younger kids.

In conclusion, homework should be banned from school because of kids health, freetime, and work time. Hopefully someone will take this into consideration.
