Sometimes you can't reduce down what the effective treatment is.
Healing as a result of many synergistic effects rather then one large overpowering process which is why pharmaceuticals don't work as well as most people hope that they will.
Yes, I discovered this intuitively, and then began learning about how to treat the body holistically. When you throw a lot of things into the mix at once it's hard to really gauge the effect of each individual therapy. I have given up using painkillers, and only use pharmaceuticals occasionally, as I have found that they don't work long term anyway.
Suppressing symptoms is hardly a long term strategy. But western medicine seems to think it is a good idea.
