Superfoods #1||💚Chlorella💚

in #health7 years ago (edited)

• I was first introduced to chlorella by one of mine friends who was super into healthy food at the time. But she was also a "fake vegan". A person who represents themselves as a vegan and has a need to say that she's a vegan to everyone, every 5 minutes, but on the other hand eats burgers at McDonald's every other weekend. So when she told me about chlorella I was completely uninterested.

• But when my boyfriend told me about it, a couple of months later, I was suddenly very interested. As we all can relate, everything is stupid until it's shown to us by the person we love, then it becomes the best thing in the world.😁 Anyway, back to the story. ➜
So my boyfriend convinced me to try it out at least for a short period of time. Despite the strong taste and the smell, I started drinking it every day and couldn't believe how good I felt. After a while, I switched from powdered chlorella to tablets, but I still use powder to make various smoothies.

What is Chlorella?

• Chlorella is the genus of green algae from the Chlorellaceae family. This amazing algae has been around longer than most of the things we eat these days. It has been around since two and a half billion years ago and is one of the oldest forms of life on Earth. Chlorella is a green freshwater alga of a round shape.

• This algae is one of the fastest growing plants on Earth and the most powerful source of pure chlorophyll that is available to us. It grows in lakes and ponds in the nature, but while may people use it as a dietary supplement, it is often grown in closed sterilized areas. It is one of the few edible species of water algae. Algae was named Chlorella because of the high content of chlorophyll, an essential nutrient that cleanses the body. In dry form, it contains up to 45% of proteins.

Numerous benefits of Chlorella

• Chlorella effectively strengthens the immune system, reduces the symptoms of many types of cancer, diabetes, arthritis, candidiasis, pancreatic inflammation, hepatitis, ulcers, viral and bacterial infections, multiple sclerosis.

1. Detoxifies heavy metals

• Considering the world we live in, you probably have some heavy metals lurking in your body. It is important for your overall health to be proactive in detoxing heavy metals and toxins. One of chlorella’s most significant health benefits is that it wraps itself around even stubborn toxins residing in our bodies, such as lead, cadmium, mercury and uranium, and keeps them from being reabsorbed. Regular consumption of chlorella can even help keep heavy metals from accumulating in our bodies’ soft tissues and organs in the first place.

2. Strengthens the immune system

• It activates the lymphocytes and improves their ability to move from the blood vessels to the body tissue, which detects and destroys bacteria, viruses, fungi and tumor cells.
It is rich in beta-carotene (a natural pigment from which vitamin A is produced in the body). Thanks to its powerful anitoxidant and immunostimulatory action, the risk of cancer is reduced. The most important for our health and well-being is the psycho-neuro-endocrine-immune system. Algae are the perfect remedy for its strengthening and harmonization. Especially useful for children who are often sick, people whose families have had cancer cases, bleeding gums, harmful effects of radiation, contamination, medicines and chronic illnesses.

3. Improves natural cleansing of toxins, waste, and radiation

• Chlorella is one of the most popular types of algae, because it is well known for purifying the liver, blood and the whole body. It is successfully used in healing kidney damage caused by mercury intoxication and various medications. In this way, a large part of the damaged and intermittent cells are regenerated. That being said, the conclusion is that chlorella will have a beneficial effect on the health of people living in the polluted environment, constantly exposed to the danger of heavy metal intoxication.

4. Strengthens cardiovascular system and regulates weight

• Regular use of chlorella over a period of time usually resolves the problem of obesity, except in the cases of serious metabolic disorders. Several studies have confirmed that cholesterol is very easily and successfully lowered with chlorella. Eating chlorella resulted in noticeable reductions in body fat percentage, serum total cholesterol, and fasting blood glucose levels. It benefits you by helping to regulate hormones, helping with metabolism, improving circulation, and promoting higher levels of energy. It also helps to reduce weight and body fat, and removes stored toxins.

5. Protects and cures

• Most chronic illnesses in the second half of life are caused by cellular hunger that promotes aging, intoxication, constipation, metabolic disorders, obesity, allergies, inflammation, degeneration, etc.
Chlorella ensures the safe protection of the organism from all these problems. It's regular use extends active life for a decade and has beneficial effects on many diseases: infarction, asthma, arrhythmia, stroke, old dementia, some nervous system disorders, diabetes and its complications, reduced hearing and sight, various skin diseases, allergies conditions, anemia, digestive tract diseases, liver and kidney problems.

6. Makes you look and feel younger

• Research continues to reveal that chlorella may also slow the aging process, making you look younger. Real beauty comes from the inside. When the cells of the organism are cleansed and fed well, they function better and we become more confident and better looking and more energetic. The reason chlorella is so effective at giving you younger looking skin is because it naturally increases levels of vitamin A, vitamin C and glutathione in your body which eliminates free radicals and protects your cells. Just by taking one teaspoon or a couple capsules daily, you can see results in as little as two weeks.

beautifully written. thank you for sharing . really enjoyed reading it

Thank you and thank you for reading😊

Wow! This was an amazing read, I have never tried chlorella before but after seeing all of these health benefits I definitely am trying it out.

I saw you said that you make it in your smoothies as well. Does chlorella have a strong taste? And what do you put into your smoothie usually? 🍍

Usually I put bananas or blueberries or whatever to kill the taste because it's really awful🤢 That's why I started taking chlorella in tablets.

Thanks for sharing this, chlorella seems very usful.

I hope you will support my post about vegan life in Russia, I am new here and I need feedback, thanks. :)

Very interesting and informative, while I don't use Chlorella, I usually put some spirulina in my smoothies and also take some tablets and they are very similar. The list of benefits sure does make it seem like a powerful weapon!
Hope you make other posts like this, that would be interesting and helpful in my opinion
