You know what annoys me ?

Well let me share . . .
You might call it " over-sharing " , but I am annoyed so you are gonna hear about it ; )

99 years ago, we lived in a different world. There was no automobile, no telephones, no bottled water but people made do. In fact people even got around to having the biggest bad arze wars in history, but almost no one was fat.

I am not talking about people who have a metabolic condition that prevents them from keeping weight off their bones. What I am talking about is your government. Your elected Representative is there voluntarily. Your professional politician only has one job. All they have to do is give society a stable environment to prosper within. But they have made you sick and thus I am annoyed; which is why I am writing this to you, to 'over-share' . . .

One hundred years ago, women managed generally to have babies, there were childhood illnesses that killed off a few before the advent of mass immunization programs. Sure life was harder and more dangerous, there were no safety helmets and no safety legislation for workplaces.

Fast forward till this modern new age Y2K world of saturation information and we find teenagers with heart disease. Now obesity is almost the new normal. Diabetes rages out of control, people are allergic to heaps of things including most of the poisons in your food.

Marketing, Propaganda and Fear have become so ingrained that now if anyone wanted the truth 99 % of people would not recognize it. Yes this Y2K millennium has become the battleground of the experts. Potatoes are good versus the opposing expert. Each expert writes or cites their own favorite scientific study.

Generally if it is plausible some scientist has written a paper about it, thus no matter what you want to read you can find information about it. Consider artificial sweeteners, everyone ( well 99% ) considered them good and useful and a blessing from the diet godz. Today using an artificial sweetener is akin to being as popular as a smoker. No one tells cigarette smokers they are going to die, but many people will rage about that artificial sweetener.

Thus poor average people like me must find our own answers, if my elected official had of done their job to protect me from the poisons placed in our foods ; I would not have to find my own answers. But the lure of lobbyists donations and big business connections meant that my voluntary elected Representatives failed to protect me and failed in their duty. Their only job was to create a safe stable environment for society to prosper in. Well if they were aiming for lap band stomach surgery to be a measure of health and fitness they succeeded.

So next election thank your duly elected professional politician and say to them " You're Fired ! ! ! ". Life is easy if you let it be, any processed food is poison, anything that says low fat or whatever is propaganda. Sure there is a case today for some accepted things like Omega 3, but generally its just a waste of time. Preservatives, sweeteners, flavorings and all diets are just accepted as useful because of the decades of brain washing you have endured.

Your sports trainer is probably in the know about all the crazy supplements you can eat or inject or whatever you need to do with them. Go to your doctor and they will prescribe many or modern mass produced medications to support the pharmaceutical industry. Buy one of those fitness trackers so you can electronically chart you inactivity over time. And how can anyone live life in the Western world without bottled water ! ! !

So welcome to the great con job from everyone whose job it was to keep you safe, FDA = Fail, Health professionals = Fail, Dietitians = Fail, Scientists, academic investigations, the media, politicians ALL = Fail. Now do yourself a favor, any information reported in the last 50 years, ditch it. Sure one percent of it might be correct but with all the other dazzling marketing you will never realize you have found it . . .

Go back 50 years and eat properly and normally, no I am not talking trans-fats but more about unprocessed foods, the lack of flavourings simply that means moving your body in some moderate exercise and no modern poisons. If you do not then you had better send one of your kids to medical school because you are going to need them to treat all your modern illnesses that will plague you; until death separates you from your illness.

Exercise is like Steem Power, you get a large bonus every time you do it. Laborers, house cleaners, fitness junkies all tend toward being thinner than average. Why because they more their body's a lot. Do not think house cleaning will get you fit, try some out for a few days and see how you feel. Professional dancers are almost as fit as todays modern military types, simple because every time they workout they add a small amount of interest on top of their already existing fitness.

So forget the experts, the marketers and the fear merchants; go back to a simpler less cluttered thinking time and start to reclaim the rest of your life. If you do not you will live to regret it; after all diabetes is the modern curse and this disease leads to a whole range of very nasty complications. If you are going to work and aim towards retirement then you need to have the health status to enjoy your lifestyle.

Yes!!! I love this post. As a personal trainer and a very awake, anarchist one to boot, it is hard to compete with the "nutritional" information flooding the internet. I don't even agree with the Canada government food guidelines when the wheat board, dairy board etc have a say in what goes into it. I tell my clients to avoid fat free, because of the chemicals and SUGAR added to it. Stay away from processed foods, refined sugar, and refined salt. Get moving is really the answer! You are very correct, too many people are sedintary because of their professions and how long they are required to work each day!! Resteeming this one ;-)

Personal Trainers have been part of the problem not part of the solution (apologies).

Today personal trainers need to not be trainers at all, they should re-model themselves into lifestyle educators. Personal Trainers want work for money and must compete for clients. Thus a personal trainer needs to be different, to educate about supplements (which are 99% marketing) to espouse about mental health, happiness, relaxation and less stress.

Make yourself into the GoTo Guru from anything such as CoEnzyme CoQ10 to natural hormonal replacement therapy. This way you will make money hopefully following your passion and hobby. You show people how to solve their own problems, if you give people their lifestyles back you will have more recommendations than you will ever be able to fulfill ! ! !

Yes a GoTo Guru!! The industry is flooded with personal trainers who are only about making money and they dismiss the other aspects of health and the dangers of chemically processed supplementation. Not to mention they can cause serious injury physically!! Majority of physical health are a direct result of poor mental/emotional health and needs to be supported.

The reason people do not move is there is literally no logical reason to . . .

We lie down to sleep, we are forced to stand during our daily showers; until someone invents a lie down in the shower contraption. Then we walk to fridge, lounge car or office desk and await a full bladder to signal more energy must be burned to biowaste.

Simply 75 % of the population spend seventy five percent of the day sitting, almost over 90 % of the population no longer do anything for exercise. If people do not take control of their health status they will belong to the hospital waiting rooms fan club ! ! !

Too true! I exercise, but I'll be the first to admit I could do more, and eat better.
