THERAPEUTIC YOGA

My dear friends Steemit, today I am going to tell you that after 10 years of retirement and my 65 years of age, I decided to leave the home routine that filled me with anxiety and stress, so I set myself the goal of doing exercises yoga, in this case YOGA THERAPEUTICS with the assistance of an excellent teacher who has the patience to help us and guide us in these practices.
Yoga is a physical and mental discipline originating in India that is associated with meditation practices to obtain a better quality of life.
Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age or condition, it is always appropriate to start or restart this millennial discipline that leads to comprehensive health. It seeks the unity of the being from the corporal, mental, emotional and spiritual work.
Therapeutic yoga is aimed, among other cases, at people who, like me, need or want more attention than in a multilevel yoga practice, as well as people with some condition of recovery or physical limitation and for older adults.

This practice aims to improve the alignment of the body obtaining good postures, get a good breath and causes the internal organs are stimulated to achieve its proper functioning and connects you with your conscious breathing, with your flexibility, with alignment and body movement .

In the 3 months that I have been practicing this discipline, I have noticed a great change in my lifestyle, I feel very satisfied, I have been taught techniques of relaxation, stretching, breathing, body postures and some types of mudras.

Among some of the benefits I have achieved through this discipline I can mention: anxiety has decreased, insomnia has improved, my concentration, my body posture, has favored my self-esteem and has improved my nasal breathing.
In this type of yoga we also do exercises with chairs. The use of chairs is very useful in yoga practice, both for healthy people and people with motor difficulties and help us get more confidence in our movements and thus achieve a better body posture, alignment and relaxation.


My esteemed friends Steemit, if you have the opportunity to practice this discipline, I recommend it with all my heart, it has worked for me, there is no age, no condition, no excuses not to take the path of yoga, for the sake of our health and physical, mental and emotional well-being.
