The Bottled Water Scam
Who would have thought that we would be bottling and selling one of the Earth's most abundant resources? Though there is a good possibility of a future water crisis, which can be explored more in the documentaries Flow and Blue Gold. There is plenty of good water water available to us right now if we are aware of it. In fact, the best water in the world is virtually unknown and untouched. Premium water is being bottled and shipped all over the world, with varying quality. The truth is, the best water will never come to you in a bottle.
The Best Drinking Water Is Free
Even though you can pay top dollar for luxurious bottled water, the best water in the world is free! That's right. Fresh spring water is the best water you can get. As soon as you bottle it, or transport it around in pipes, the water begins to degrade in quality. Viktor Schauberger was known as the "water wizard" and his work goes into great detail covering this aspect of water. Unless there is someone collecting money from those willing to go to the top of a mountain for a drink of fresh spring water, there is no way to make money from it. Therefore, the next best thing is to bottle it up and take it to the consumer. This works out well because many of us are unwilling, for whatever reasons, to go to that extent for some water. One of the main reasons why people are not willing to seek fresh springs is because they don't know the true value of fresh spring water. We have been marketed to by companies who sell water and now most people put water in either of two categories: tap water and bottled water.
At least we've accepted that tap water should not be consumed. But what about bottled water? When we think of bottled water we think of the thin, plastic bottled water generally sold in major grocery store chains. Often times bottled water is simply bottled tap water. Maybe they put it through some sort of filter before bottling it but ultimately it's still tap water. You would think that bottled water is regulated more than tap water, but that is not the case. Needless to say, most of the bottled water sold today is of very poor quality. Even the fancy bottled water in stores, like Fiji, is still not that good. Though they put it in a special bottle, call it "artesian" water, and charge a premium for it. Artesian sounds fancy right? Well, it's just an artesian well. If they were to label it "well water" I doubt people would think be willing to pay the premium for it. It's good marketing, and strictly business. Besides bottled water usually not being all that great, there's one more big reason why bottled water should never be consumed- plastic.
Have you ever tasted plastic after drinking out of a plastic bottle of water? If so, you weren't just tasting plastic, you were drinking it! The plastic from the container leaches into the water itself, especially when exposed to extreme temperatures, which causes the process to greatly accelerate. Drinking plastic bottled water is one of the biggest, most overlooked things, that can harm your health. Plastics contain what is known as "xenoestrogens." Xenoestrogens mimic hormones and disrupt your hormone balance. This can cause and/ or contribute towards a lot of big health problems. Though drinking out of plastic may seem harmless, don't underestimate the damage it can do to your body.
That's why in today's age we have to be astute and take matters into our own hands. Fortunately, there are solutions. So what water is best to drink? Fresh spring water drank at the source. What's the next best thing? Spring water bottled in glass. Many of the water being sold as spring water is not from a true spring though. Mountain Valley Spring Water is a good choice because they offer it in glass and it's from a true spring. If you contact them directly, they can even have 5 gallon containers shipped right to your house in many areas of the U.S. There are lots of other good spring water companies bottling their water in glass, definitely seek those too. If you're ready to try the real thing, go to www.findaspring.com and locate a spring in your area.
So it's not that all bottled water is a scam, it's just the bottled water industry is largely a scam to get people to buy poor water at high prices.
Totally. Not only do the manufacturers position their water products as "superior" i.e. Aquafina (translated: fine water), which is just from a subpar ATL municipal water source, they all pretty much pay nothing for the water.
Buy a quality carbon water filtration system and stainless steel mugs..done!
beautiful content
Thank you!
Really great post. I always try to stay away from drinking bottled water. For me it is not very refreshing and it always seems to have a weird plasticy flavor.
Yep. It's dead water and that taste is literally from plastic. Not good.
I wouldn't say that it's high price by any means, but low quality. Reverse Osmosis or a solid filter that will take out fluoride, mercury, pharmaceuticals, etc. will be your best bet.
This is the best water filter I've found! It's the next level. Check it out: http://theawarenessrevolution.com/miraculewater/
Grab your self a good BPA free bottle and your set :)
great post
Thanks! However, I wish it was that easy. Companies are always trying to say 1 step ahead of the consumers' awareness so they often mislead us with deceptive marketing. They use terms like "all natural," "cage free," and even "grass fed" to give the illusion that what they're doing is health conscious. But too often it's just marketing. BPA isn't the only harmful chemical in plastic. There are many others, even some that are very closely related to BPA that serve the same purpose. Just like now they're calling high fructose corn syrup HFCS to confuse us since so many people are now looking to avoid it, companies are using BPA like chemicals and then putting "BPA-free" on their label. That's why awareness is key. These people are slick, and there's only a small voice out there telling us about all this stuff.
I'm assuming you're talking about buying bottled water in a BPA-free container. If so, not good. However, if you mean: get a bottle and bottle it yourself. That's a better option. Thicker plastic, like in the 5 gallon jugs, are much better. But the water still needs minerals and to be vortexed to bring it back to life and restructure it.
I agree with what you've said and am so fortunate to have found a supply of spring water that I fill up in glass bottles. People can check if there is a spring near them here

Awesome! You earned a follow! I love Findaspring.com! We always look for springs on our road trips. I really feel the difference immediately after drinking it. I drink as much as I can at the source, when the water is the most fresh and alive. I wish I had a good one close by.
