1# Country In The World For Beer - Prague Tasting
Czech Republic has the highest beer consumption per capita in the world! It is a no brainier that Prague has excellent choices.
1. Sweet (Mliko) Urquell at Lokal A rich and original all-foam specialty with a milk-like consistency. Drink it quickly, for a sweet, mouth-filling experience.
2. Wellington IPA at U Tří Růží, 15th-century Microbrewery, The Three Roses. For those true hop heads, gloriously bitter, strong hop aroma, tasted like candy with New Zealand hops, Wai-iti and Cascade, Nelson S. and Motueka.
3. X33 at U Medvídků, Strongest Beer in Czech Republic - 1466 beerhall A strong Lager fermented for six months in an oak barrel and has an alcohol content of %12. Rich, smooth, creamy and malty! Thicker consistency, lovely sherry-like aperitif. Deep brown color with 0% clarity.
4. Rosie at U Medvídků
11° rosy wheat beer perfectly prepared for these summer days. With a refreshing taste and hint of cloves.
5. St. Norbert’s Brewery in the Strahov Monastery This brewery is at the tail end of the Prague Castle, they specialize in classic Czech lagers, seasonal brews & IPAs.
6. Special dark 13° lager at U Fleku - Brewery started in 1499
Almost black color, it is contrasted with a lighter, sweet aroma. It’s exceptionally smooth with a light refreshing body. Sweet beginning, followed by roasted barely & caramel taste, which ends with a bit of hops. They mill their own Czech malt by using their 140 year old mill and their copper vats are from 1937, located in a room with a ceiling dating back to the 1360’s.
Hi jetsetter. There are so many pubs in Prague that Steem blockchain would not be big enough.
It is a pity that tourists are concentrated in the center only (but understandable)
What are your favorite ones?
I care more about the beer than about the pub. I do not much like beer from big multinational producers. That is good to buy in supermarket, but draught beer I want better.
In Prague I like this one http://www.unetickypivovar.cz/ and than walking countryside on weekends any local beer.
Luckily there are many breweries in our country. Tiny, small, bigger...
I am the same way. Wonderful I like Uneticky too, very crisp taste.
Nice beers, they look great! In Germany we have "Krusovice" (spelling?) in some pubs and I like it. Its Czech, is it?
Yes you are 100% correct!
Krusovice are brewed in the Czech republic, but the owner is Heineken.
If you say krusovice it is OK and any Czech will understand.

Heineken owns a insane amount of breweries.
Big are buying to be bigger.
