SEC-S20W1 | 1st Course: Salads.

Have you ever prepared a 3-course menu at home? If the answer is yes, can you describe what it was made up of? |

Yes I have prepared a 3 course menu at home several times even though I did it without knowing what I did was called a 3 course menu. This is one of the reasons why I said I leant new things from the lecture.
The 3 course menu I made at home comprised;
Starter: was salad( made of cabbage,carrot and cucumber plus the the salad cream(dressing))
Main course: was Rice and stew and fried fish
Dessert: was yogurt
The occasion I would like to prepare a 3 course menu is birthday celebrations or as lunch on Sunday afternoons.
We would like you to prepare 1 type of salad (personal portion) of those explained in this course (mixed, composed or special). It is important to explain the preparation process and present it in an appropriate way for an appetizer |

The type of salad I have chosen to prepare is the mixed salad below is the preparation.
- Cucumber
- Carrots
- Cabbage
- Egg
- Salad cream
I wash my ingredients such as cucumber, carrots and cabbage with salt and water and get them ready to slice.
Cut my cabbage into desired shape and size using my knife.
It's time to cut my carrots into bits, but I don't want to do it the normal way I slice my carrot so I have chosen to slice it into smaller sticks as seen below
The next step is to slice my cucumber.. I don't like to peel off the green part of my cucumber, i like to use or eat with the green peel. To cut my cucumber, I slice it into two halves. Am using just one half..
I slice the one half length wise from top to down. This divides it into two, then i slice into bits holding the two together.
Next step is my egg, after boiling the egg, I slice it into two halves. I don't really like boiled eggs so I will be using just half of the egg. I remove the yoke from the egg white and slice the egg white into bits. I will definitely use the yoke spreading it when am done with all the cutting.
The next step is to put all my ingredients into a bowl and mix it up with my salad cream. Before I missed it I beautifully arranged it into a plate.

The main dish I have chosen to go with the salad I prepared is Crayfish jollof rice..I love rice so much and I don't mind eating rice all day long. While the dessert I have chosen is orange juice.
Starter: mixed Salad
Main course: Crayfish jollof Rice
Dessert: Orange juice

Hola amiga, he comido este tipo de ensalada y es muy deliciosa, pero no la.he probado con huevo, la proxima vez que la prepare se lo añadiré, debe quedar muy rica.
