I just hacked back some of my plants due to the mildew and a couple did this but have now perked back up. It could just be the stress affects the plant and as long as it is still sufficiently strong it might bounce back.
Hope so! It looks worse today, I'm considering harvesting the remaining smaller acorn squash tomorrow...
Sometimes you do have to just cut the losses and take what you can get.
Yeah, that's what I did. I'll make a post later today, took some sad pictures. But then got a cucumber, and several cherry and grape tomatoes, so one picture looks like a harvest smile (it's on a "Homer" bucket lid).
