I absolutely agree with this strategy. Hoping to go viral is a good way to fail. Besides, being open & transparent with your project from day 1 doesn't prevent you from going viral, in fact it may even help you achieve publicity.

Plus, since I could fail doing either approach, I'd rather have 100 failed projects AND have content that helps out others, rather than just 100 failed projects ;^)

yes hoping to go viral is just statistically bad. even if you have 100 failed projects (i might have more lol) if you've been engaging with the community, the audience should be building up.

this is my 1st project that i'm sharing openly 100%. it's mostly just a theory but we'll see :)
