우오옷 징님! 메리크리쓰마쓰~! ^0^

You do it the smart way. It is mind boggling how stubborny people even protect some simple mods for games like Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2. I think it could help greatly if the modders opened their games so that people could balance them and make their own refineing. Right now if you make a popular mod there is going to be gazzillion other mods like that without your name anyway.

lol yes it's gonna happen no matter what. it's probably better to come out first and get the attention first. now it becomes your leverage :)

I absolutely agree with this strategy. Hoping to go viral is a good way to fail. Besides, being open & transparent with your project from day 1 doesn't prevent you from going viral, in fact it may even help you achieve publicity.

Plus, since I could fail doing either approach, I'd rather have 100 failed projects AND have content that helps out others, rather than just 100 failed projects ;^)

Happy Holidays, see you next year for more roundbear greatness!

hey man! good to see you again here.
yes hoping to go viral is just statistically bad. even if you have 100 failed projects (i might have more lol) if you've been engaging with the community, the audience should be building up.

this is my 1st project that i'm sharing openly 100%. it's mostly just a theory but we'll see :)

merry christmas!
