Friday's Rock
I found this one on Lake Superior. It caught my eye, but I'm not really sure what it is. I would love to hear your ideas.

That's so pretty! I wonder if the yellow was caused by sulfur or something. Are there hot springs nearby?
I am not aware of any hot springs near where I found this. So many of the rocks in that area were moved there by the glaciers long ago. Maybe it had those conditions wherever it originated.

The bright color really stood out on the beach.
I have no idea what it is but I'm pretty sure I've never seen such a rock in my life. I'm wondering what might have caused that rock to form so colorful. It's interesting. Nice find!

It is a bit of cheese moon crater rock broken of from the moon and landed on earth...hehe :)

Are there little crystals in the holes? Searching the two images
at the top it came up with cookies lol one was peanut butter
the other choc chip, funny the searches.
Sometimes it will show something similar to what looking for.

@goat-girlz mentioned sulphur, it does look volcanic
in color and perhaps the holes are from gas bubbles.
I have no idea what it might be, definetely is eye caching with these colours.
Wow! Unique rock, I showed the picture to Hubby, a geologist. He said, base on the picture it is caused by weathering, a geologic process wherein the component chemicals of the rock reacts and interact with the chemicals of the environment surrounding it. At this stage we cannot identify the rock because we must see it's interior. The rock must be slice or crack open.
