RE: Garage thoughts - What do you do when you reach 500sp?
I think that there is a lack of leadership and tutorship from the bigger accounts to the little ones. Sometimes if you ask enough then you get little nuggets here and there.
This is what I have pieced together so far:
- You always want to build up more SP. 500SP is a nice milestone and then? Carry on.
- You can upvote more people daily once you have the slider. This needs to scale with your SP.
- A redfish can upvote 20 posts a day and recharge to 100ish percent VP. at 500SP you can make it 30/40, at 2000SP make it 50/60. (Or whatever works)
- Other people have a value system. 100% = fully support, 50% = greatly support, 10% = support, 1% = recognised.
Yeah @therneau, I think that if you were getting 0.05 upvotes from someone on 480SP suddenly dropped to 0.005 upvotes because they get a slider then that would be kinda stupid.
Well, this is why we should focus on gathering strong support from a smaller group of friends.
You know I got your back jack! ;)
Thanks bud!
With regards to the 3rd point, it's more in the region of 10 votes per day (full power). This will keep your vp above 80%.
Much agreed with regards to guidance from the bigger accounts. Unfortunately it seems as if most of them are only in it for themselves which has a negative ripple effect on the platform as a whole. With that being said there are those that care about the platform and the people using it.
If I had a vote of say, $1 in value , I'd rather vote less and keep it at 50% on comments and 100% on posts. That's just me though :) 3 cents from a low vp account means far more to me than 6 cents from a high vp account.
Anyway, as mentioned I'll likely delve into the subject at hand in more detail.
Thanks for the solid support man. Much appreciated!
There should be a balance between quantity and quality of upvotes. You want both to scale up with your SP.
