Day 145 : 5 Minute Freewrite : Prompt - Deodorize

Have you heard about Stinky Tofu. It is the SMELLIEST dish I ever encountered. It is most popular as food snack in Hong Kong, China & Taiwan.

The stinky tofu strong odor can be smelt from more than 50 meter away. At first thought you would be guessing it is a smell comes from the trash bins or from a dirty drain water. It is to a degree where I can’t get closer to the stall and taste the Stinky Tofu because of the ultimate sensation of discomfort. And have you heard about Durian? Durian is a famous fruit mainly originated from Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia. Durian is known to be the smelliest fruit on earth. But Durian ugly smell is like a dirty socks or rotten meat.

Between Stinky Tofu & Durian, I assure you Stinky Tofu has the utmost unbearable smell EVER! Just the name of it is already proudly telling you it’s stinky. However some would say the stinkier it is, the tastier it is. And regardless of how it smells, it said to be a notorious dish.

If you ever encounter Stinky Tofu like I do, I would bet you understand what I’m trying to say here. The unbearable sharp smell would make you want to deodorize yourself before heading elsewhere as the smell would get stuck on your shirt. THAT BAD.

Since I have a very sensitive nose, I could be overpowering my expression on how stinky could Stinky Tofu be. Because even the slightest smoke from a cigar could already make me start sneezing.
