RE: I Love The US Government. . And I Love America

#triggered

You'd probably have a different perspective on the US government if you were a family member to one of the 6,047 innocent people who've died as a result of Obama and Trump's drone campaign. source

I personally am annoyed that my grandmother is legally prevented from growing medicine to treat her stomach cancer symptoms just to protect the pharmaceutical industry, which also happens to be the #4 cause of accidental death in the US. source

I'm guessing you haven't spent much time researching the 9/11 lie. great 5 min vid on dtube

Are you happy to pay for Hillary Clinton's $12,000 dresses? source

You'd probably mind if I hacked into your bank account and stole 30% of your money then used it to fly around in private jets and hire private security forces to escort me around on vacations which you paid for. Why is it cool when the government does it?

Still love ya bud ;)

See, this is why I love America! Because you get to have these opinions.

Do you know what I find most interesting? When anyone who hates the US Government so much ever sticks around .. you know, if the Government is so bad and all ... Did you miss the part where you have the Freedom to leave at any time?

Oh, you also have the Freedom to stay here and complain ... and at the end of the day, so many people love to just do that. If that's who you want to be, at least you know you'll have plenty of company!

/to be read with sarcasm

You realize that fallacy works both ways right? If you love the government so much, why don't you move to North Korea?

I'm sorry that you lack the vision to imagine a better world. Stockholm syndrome is a bitch. The government didn't give me freedom of speech, I was born with it.

I guess you missed the sarcasm part, so here's another fun nugget.

It must be nice to be allowed to exercise your right to freedom of speech in such a distopian society with an oppressive government like the US Government.

It's not a lack of imagination for a better country or a better world. It's the lack of awareness from those living in it that consistently baffles me. People are so quick to complain and say that they have and deserve all of these rights but they are slow to act in ways to earn or keep those rights. Complaining is much easier than action though, so why not just do that all of the time instead of getting up and doing something.

If there's something that you don't like in the world, you have to change it. It's not going to magically get done by someone else just because you said so. Enjoy that freedom of speech. You deserve it.

I like how you just presume to know what I do in my life.

You are aware that the original patriots instigated a violent revolution against their government over a 20-30% tax on tea right? Yet here you are happy to pay 35%+ of your entire income, and you can't even be bothered by someone who wants to criticize that policy. You should be ashamed to even call yourself an American.

You are aware that the original patriots instigated a violent revolution against their government over a 20-30% tax on tea right?

OMG!?! REALLY???

I've never heard more of an oversimplification in my life. And that's impressive, because I do it all the time myself!

You must not have read my previous comment, so I'll let you re-read it and try to let it sink in.

Here's an except:

If there's something that you don't like in the world, you have to change it. It's not going to magically get done by someone else just because you said so.

--Yes, we are at war and have been for a while. Some wars are fought overtly and some covertly and there are innocent civilians who die. I accept that war is happening and has been happening for 1000's of years. The US is not the only country to cause civilian deaths in the world.

--I don't like that marijuana is illegal on a federal level either, however I'm sure you can find a way for grandma to get some smoke and if she chose to grow some on her own they wouldn't throw her in the slammer for it. In China, Iran. Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Philippines you can be sentenced to death or PUBLIC LASHINGS for possession of certain amounts of cannabis. China executed 400+ people for drug related offenses many being marijuana. That would really suck if we had those type of laws. China also parades people around in stadium publicly as thousands come and watch as people are sentenced to death. Imagine judges lashing people for getting caught with a few ounces of weed or public trials where we humiliate people who are going to be sentenced to death.

--I watched the towers get hit live on 9/11. I don't buy into conspiracy theories. Just about anything can be turned into a conspiracy and the "truth" is probably somewhere in the grey area. Not everything is black and white. The cited video is from a conspiracy theorist who has "truths" about many different things. You are correct I haven't researched 9/11, nor have I researched those doing the "reporting". I am ok not knowing.

--Hillary Clinton is a lifetime politician who has probably done worse than buy $12,000 dresses. Any large organization will have some corruption. Government, business, or otherwise.

--In my lifetime, i have paid more in taxes than 90% of people in the United States, so if anyone has a right to complain it would be me, but I choose to focus attention on personal peace of mind rather than things out of my control.

Overall, I would much rather have the US government in place than many others or no government at all. I still don't mind being an American.

"China also parades people around in stadium publicly as thousands come and watch as people are sentenced to death."

The 6th Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees my right to a quick and speedy public trial. China just has a higher caseload. It's coming here, too. Wait for it.

"I don't buy into conspiracy theories. Just about anything can be turned into a conspiracy and the "truth" is probably somewhere in the grey area."

I have a VERY hard time "believing" conspiracy theories, as well. But Tower 7 was never hit with a plane, and the BBC announced that Tower 7 had collapsed, even though it was clearly visible behind the right shoulder of the reporter who made those bold claims.

Also, a lot of first hand witnesses said they heard explosions in the lower levels of the building. Just a lot of weird shit that was going on that day. Also, the "magic passport" that they "found" in the rubble was complete and utter horse shit. At least we can all admit that much?

"I am okay not knowing." <- this says it all really.

If you are willfully ignorant, then I won't bother you with any more logic or information. Everything else you've typed as a response to my comment boils down to the fallacy of relative privation. A is okay because B is worse than A. By your logic, rape is perfectly acceptable because murder happens.

Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise

And

I don't mind what happens
