RE: I Love The US Government. . And I Love America
See, this is why I love America! Because you get to have these opinions.
Do you know what I find most interesting? When anyone who hates the US Government so much ever sticks around .. you know, if the Government is so bad and all ... Did you miss the part where you have the Freedom to leave at any time?
Oh, you also have the Freedom to stay here and complain ... and at the end of the day, so many people love to just do that. If that's who you want to be, at least you know you'll have plenty of company!
/to be read with sarcasm
You realize that fallacy works both ways right? If you love the government so much, why don't you move to North Korea?
I'm sorry that you lack the vision to imagine a better world. Stockholm syndrome is a bitch. The government didn't give me freedom of speech, I was born with it.
I guess you missed the sarcasm part, so here's another fun nugget.
It must be nice to be allowed to exercise your right to freedom of speech in such a distopian society with an oppressive government like the US Government.
It's not a lack of imagination for a better country or a better world. It's the lack of awareness from those living in it that consistently baffles me. People are so quick to complain and say that they have and deserve all of these rights but they are slow to act in ways to earn or keep those rights. Complaining is much easier than action though, so why not just do that all of the time instead of getting up and doing something.
If there's something that you don't like in the world, you have to change it. It's not going to magically get done by someone else just because you said so. Enjoy that freedom of speech. You deserve it.
I like how you just presume to know what I do in my life.
You are aware that the original patriots instigated a violent revolution against their government over a 20-30% tax on tea right? Yet here you are happy to pay 35%+ of your entire income, and you can't even be bothered by someone who wants to criticize that policy. You should be ashamed to even call yourself an American.
OMG!?! REALLY???
I've never heard more of an oversimplification in my life. And that's impressive, because I do it all the time myself!
You must not have read my previous comment, so I'll let you re-read it and try to let it sink in.
Here's an except:
