yes, there is a very good chance you can grow them if you keep them mulched. If I remember correctly, the Carlos variety can with stand down to 10 degrees. Keep in mind, that means if you can keep the roots from going down below 10 degrees they will come back next year. If you know how deep the frost layer goes, pile on enough mulch to raise the bed level higher than that is there is a really good chance it will work.
