To us, in Brazil, "Anguive" is very similar with our "Jiló". It's like a mini-eggplant, but more bitter. Pipegaille is completely unknown. Can you tell which botanical family she belongs to? From the chuchu (chouchou) we use only the cooked fruits. Do you use the new sprouts for cooking? I would like to know about it! Thanks for the post !

Actually pipengaille belongs to the cucumber family, it is also called Loofah!
Yes the new sprouts is vastly used here in Mauritius, cut in small pieces and just sauteed with onion and garlic, it's just wow!
Do try it, you'll love it! You can also add it in light soups/broth!
