Fantastic Seafood Paella (COOKED #2 with the master of paella @gargon)

in #food8 years ago

@gargon approached me with his idea of doing a collaboration paella post, I got all excited as one of my all time favorite dishes is Seafood Paella. I can eat paella the whole day. Mostly in restaurants you have to order a Paella for 2 , I always order a (2 Person) Paella for myself alone ;)

So please support him with your votes if you like his Paella! It looks so delicious!

Easy Dishes ToMake For Your50th BirthdayDinner P

Hi Everyone!

Just follow the instructions above every picture. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do every Sunday 😉

First thing you do is put the clams into water with some salt

IMG_5265

Leave the little clams inside the water

IMG_5266

You can use any vitroceramic although the heat is very well distributed with such a tool for paellas

IMG_5267

Clean and ready!

IMG_5268

Put the chicken on the paellera with olive oil

IMG_5271

Some green beans and green peppers

IMG_5273

Cut the beans and the peppers and take some garlic. Don«t cut the garlic

IMG_5278

Fry the chicken and both sides

IMG_5279

When the chicken is a bit fried, add the beans peppers and garlic

IMG_5283

While the chicken is frying, clean the mussels and boil them

Now, cut the squid and put it fry it all together

IMG_5292

Add some tomato and cut it

IMG_5293

Now, take out the boliled mussels

IMG_5294

So far so good 😉

IMG_5295

One little coffe cup full or rice per person and some colorant

IMG_5296

That«s what I«m talking about!

IMG_5297

Mix the rice with all ingredients so the rices gets all the flavor

IMG_5299

Take the water from the boiled mussels

IMG_5300

And put it in. Very important:

Proportion of water vs rice is 3:1

3 times more water than rice

IMG_5301

Take out the little bastards

IMG_5302

Clams in

IMG_5305

Raw prowns in

IMG_5306

I«m getting sooo hungry!

IMG_5308

Put in the mussels

IMG_5311

20 min since it starts boiling

IMG_5312

Take something to cover it

IMG_5313

Cover it with some kitchen rag

Leave it like that for 10 min

I've had Paella years back when visited Gran Canaria, and have made a couple times since. This recipe looks fantastic, and I will certainly give a try.
THANKS

@knozaki2015 @gargon

Your posts either make me to want to eat or to travel.

btw. instead of rice colorant use "turmeric". same effect plus it adds taste

yes agre. but all spanians I know use the colorant ;)

Yes that is a good idea! You could do paella without any color at all, that yellow color looks so amazing ;)

it has to be saffron but it is extreamly expensive! the most expensive specie in the world I´d say

I love paella. Philippine version is very similar. And they taste great, too. Philippines was under Spanish colony for 300 years and most of Spain's culture and tradition had been inculcated to Philippine culture as well. Philippines has so many Spanish dishes and most of them retain Spanish name as well.

Oh again something learned on steemit. I have to t ry a Philippine version of paella !

Come visit and enjoy more Spanish dish Philippine version.

I have to visit Philippines, yes even a lot of people speak spanish over there right? or not so?

Yes there is a place where they actually speak some sort of Spanish language called Chabacano. It's not real Spanish but any Spanish person will be able to understand. I actually took 4 semesters of Spanish classes but it never sank in to my system LOL. You should come visit!

Wow, That sounds very interesting, i´d love to ear that spanish from there, I will visit for sure

OMG!!! what the hell that looks INSANE!!!! Can I have some :)

Sure!! tell me your adresss and I send some :) or maybe you can try to cook it, I´m sure yours will taste even better :)

This looks delicious. Brings back some good memories.

Yeah agree. that is the most delicious paella i have ever seen ;)

Have you been living in Spain or something?

Don't know if you was asking me or knozaki. I just had some very good Paellas at holidays in Spain.

Great post and information!

Unusual for me the dish, I wonder :)

you never had paella? omg. paella is the best spanish dish i can imagine ;)

Spanish Saffron is a must, try to use it next time when you add the rice, it gives a very nice flavour and color.
It looks delicious, well down! . It is one of my favourite dishes.

I always have Saffron from turkey. whats the difference between them?

Never tasted saffron from Turkey, probably they are very similar. Spain is the second saffron producing country and Iran the first one.

ah didn't know that interesting info

Yes I agree on that, you know in the old times paella was made just with the leftovers from other days ?

You can make paella with many different ingredients, it is not necessary to use expensive ingredients. Mine is very similar to yours.

love those shells!

You can taste the sea!!

Love Seafood Paella! :D

Try to cook it! :)
