The Health Boosts you can Achieve using Lettuce

Hey folks @cryptokraze here with my new Blog about Food and Health awareness in which I will highlight the health benefits associated with Lettuce. We should add variety of foods in our diet because they have bio-active components in them that help in preventing many diseases and provide other health benefits.

Health Benefits of Lettuce

For centuries, this leaf has grown more than vegetables. The health benefits confirmed by modern scientific research are as follows:

Anti-inflammatory Agent

Lettuce contains anti-inflammatory characteristics that help control inflammation. In an investigational model, lettuce juice showed significant resistor of inflammation caused by biocatalysts such as carrageenan and lipoxygenase.

Protects Neuronal Cells

Neurons are mind cells that formulate physical networks to formulate memory. The demise of neurons on nearly circuits or connections may outcome in loss of memory. In extreme cases, important neuronal demise may lead to illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease. The lettuce extract shows full control of nerve cell death due to its role in glucose/serum deprivation (GSD). The study also mentions that lettuce has the potential for neuroprotection as a common treatment for neurodegenerative diseases.

Induces Sleep

One of the main traditional uses of Unani medical lettuce is as a sleep inducer. Studies on lettuce extracts have led to inhibitory chemical insulation. These chemicals have been administered to experimental animals and have shown significant sedative effects. decreased ventricular contraction and slower heart rate were also observed. This particular chemical works by blocking the excitatory signals of nervous and muscle tissue.

Antimicrobial Agent

Lettuce latex has antibacterial characteristics. Many yeasts like Candida albicans and many others have been completely deformed upon contact with milk from lettuce. Biochemistry is believed to have these antimicrobial characteristics of stearates, terpenes, and enzymes such as glucanases.

Controls Anxiety

The neurological characteristics of lettuce have long been promoted and developed in medieval and ancient medical articles such as the Unani system. New experiments have told us that lettuce has anxiolytic characteristics. When subjects are given with its juice the locomotor actions speed is reduced, that lead to anxiolytics.

I did not know lettuce has huge advantages but always tay to eat. It has also nutritional value. Thanks for your valuable post.

Wow @cryptokraze i knew lettuce was healthy for you but your post has given even more benficial factors. I normally have lettuce with my dinner or sandwiches.I think we need more recipes to incorporate the humble lettuce considering how amazing it is for your health.Thanks for reviving a firgotten salad for me.May start eating a little more extra now.👌👍

Lollo bionda, lollo rossa, oak leaf lettuce, batavia, arugula, etc. There are so many varieties, each with its own specific taste. Lettuce is certainly not boring!

Losing this knowledge is not an option. Try not to eat just salad that is easy to grow in industrial agriculture. Grow your own vegetables, experiment, get closer to nature!

Lettuce is useless for humans - especially today's GMO lettuce. We don't digest it all. Horrible advice once again. Also as a super low calorie food, it is very bad for the environment as so much of it has to be grown.
