This Little Piggie Ate Lunch

Inland from Santa Barbara, CA in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley is the charming little town of Solvang that I fondly refer to as Danish Disneyland. Solvang, which means Sunny Field in Danish, was founded in 1911 by a group of Danes who traveled west from the Midwest to establish a Danish colony and it's literally a little bit of Denmark right here in the U.S.A.
Tucked behind a charming windmill at the corner of Copenhagen Dr. and Second St. in Hamlet Square is the aptly named Bacon & Brine.

Before you even get inside you can smell the delectable scent of BACON!!!
and an assortment of other delicious smells wafting in the warm summer breeze.

Chef Pink and Courtney create uber delicious hyperlocal food.
Choosing what to order isn't an easy task.

This is a laid back environment, you get to choose where you want to sit. You can either pick a spot inside where you can enjoy the mural and a view of the kitchen or, sit outside under the yellow awnings where you can people watch as you savor your meal.

I chose to sit inside and watch the activity in the kitchen.

Order a cold craft beer or the homemade house lemonade to sip on while you make your big decision from the main menu.

Lunch is served! We have our spread before us ~
house made hand cut fries, BLKA and The Hipster.
Of course we had to share bites off each other's plates.

What's the polite word used to describe someone who loves food and sometimes eats too much?
A gourmand, yes? Well, in my case, we'll just call me a little piggie when it comes to Bacon & Brine.
