Flower parade part one🌺🌸
Hello everyone🌺🌸
My idea was to tell you everyday something about a flower 🌺🌸 I hope you like it :)
Carnation are called “Anjers” in Holland. The Latin name is Dianthus Caryophyllus
Carnations are used in bouguets and scalework at my school. We work wit all kinds of colors.Variants;
The “tros” carnation is the largest and there are more flowers on a branch. This carnation is best known.

The Diantini is a bundle of Carnations with small flowers. There is often but a flower to a twig.
There is also the standard Carnation or the American Carnation.
That’s a bit bigger and there are more than one on a branch.

Carnations come after nature in Europe and Asia; In the middle ages the Red Carnation a symbol of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The white Carnation (always worn by Prince Bernhard) is a symbol of the late Prince and his Prince Bernhard Fund.
The white Carnation is also worn on Veterans Day in tribute to the Prince.

I think its a marvelous idea to share your knowledge on flowers daily with the community. Keep up the great work I really enjoy it. Even though I don’t have “green fingers” Ik heb geen groene vingers haha
dankjewel voor je lieve comment :) vindt het leuk om te horen :)
Somewhat random factoid: my own home language is Afrikaans, which is a sort of creole/dialect descended from Dutch, spoken in South Africa. And in Afrikaans, a carnation is known as an angelier. Similar to the Dutch word then, but not identical. And that's actually unusual, because the two languages have an almost identical vocabulary; the spelling and grammar differs quite a bit though. :-)
Angelier is also a beautiful name for the flower :)
Leuk stukje mop.
