in #fitness7 years ago

Do you want to Improve yourself esteem and feel good doing it? Just by adding an exercise routine to your busy schedule can make all the difference. I know for me it helped to improve my overall mood. I used to have a lot of aggression built up and didn't know what to do with it until I found weight training and fitness.

Improved self-esteem is a key psychological benefit of regular physical activity. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain.

Endorphins also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of a drug called morphine. For example, the feeling that follows a run or workout is often described as "euphoric." That feeling, known as a "runner's high," can be accompanied by a positive and energizing outlook on life.

They are produced in our brain, spinal cord, and other parts of body. They are released in response to brain chemicals called neurotransmitters. The neuron receptor endorphins are very similar to a lot of pain medicines on the market. However, unlike with morphine, the activation of these receptors by the body's endorphins does not lead to addiction or dependence.

Regular exercise has been proven to:

  1. Reduce stress
  2. Ward off anxiety and feelings of depression
  3. Boost self-esteem
  4. Improve sleep
  5. Most Importantly Increase Sex Drive

A strong social support system is meaningful for those with depression, joining a group exercise class may be very beneficial. Or you could call on a close friend or coworker to join the routine. In doing so, you will benefit from the physical activity and emotional comfort, knowing that others are supportive of you.
