Daily Heavy Bag Work
Best $60 I ever spent. I’ve had this heavy bag hanging up in this under construction room for about 8 months. I try to get smooth kinetic rounds in as much as possible. Lots of fun to learn new combinations over time.
Threw in a little commentary as well, it’s good to see what I’m doing. I gotta keep my hands up, bags don’t hit back 🤜

Cool man a bag at home is a must for ninja living. With what did you fill it?
At 0.40 sec when you give a round kick. It looks like you step forwards.. but with your toes also pointing forwards.. The goal is ..or my goal is to when i step in to kick.. i point my toes to 9 o clock so to say. You know why.
Always, wanted to be a ninja. You know I bought it prefilled & I’m not sure exactly what’s in there. It is rock hard at the bottom so good for bone conditioning. Not too bad half way up & cushy at the top.
That is a good point on the footwork. The hips can spin more when you get the toes pointed out but it does telegraph a little. Another thing I think about with the round kicks is I like to throw them more fedor style. He advises a more forward hip thrust to generate power as opposed to spinning on axis so you stay in good position if you miss. But he still points his toes 45 degrees, to start, for power. That little forward thrust technique difference really improved my round kick. I generate a lot of power moving forwards compared to rotational.
Picked up fedors fighting system manual many years ago & it is filled with good tricks from stand up to clinch to ground.
I’d like to see more bag work & striking technique on steemit, throw it up!
Sounds like a decent bag to work with. I filled mine with old clothes. Worked good untill the weight/mass dropped down prolly because of the rain. But now its only good for low kicks.
Cant argue with Fedor i guess :) But yes i wrote it a bit wrong if i dont step in with a 45 degrees then i still will rotate before throwing the kick. I never thought about preventing take downs but makes sense.
Would be cool if they made a robot to test the power of certain kicks.
