serious indeed if trees are completely destroyed. When I worked at a timbermill they also owned plantations. White smoke meant grass burning, black smoke meant trees burning. Where I am working the guys burnt recently the long dead grass as there is a significant risk when it catches alight. What can one do in a case like yours? Do you burn dead grass (when not windy)?
