Base on my last post, i wrote about covered cropping, when i explained on how cover crops help to protect the soil and prevent the soil from erosion..
Today, i will be writting on crop rotation.
What is crop rotation?
Crop rotation is planting different crops in the same spot every so many years to avoid depleting the soil of certain nutrients.
Some crops use more of certain nutrients and can be rotated with another crop that uses more of another kind of nutrient.
Further more some crops actually replace certain nutrients back into the depleted soil.
Crop rotation definition is - the practice of growing different crops in succession on the same land chiefly to preserve the productive capacity of the soil.
Crop rotation also helps to battle against the forces of erosion. Rotating crops helps to improve soil stability by alternating between crops with deep roots ..
It's a process known as crop rotation, and it's actually been around a long, long time. Crop rotation refers to the practice of growing different types of crops.
Crop rotation is the systematic planting of different crops in a particular order over several years in the same growing space. This process helps maintain nutrients in the soil.
Thanks once again for reading my post.
