🎤How to Join as a Guest Speaker
Step 4: Reply to this Thread with the following Details:
- Topic
- Appropriate Links
- Steemit and/or Mumble account name of Representative/Speaker
- How should we Introduce you/your project/your news coverage?
- What is your bitshares account name?
⛒ Is Any Topic Off Limits?
Yes. We reserve the right to learn from the newest trickster trolling steemit consistently searching for way to insert chaos into the equation and devise future strategies for negating these. Naturally if these efforts become ham-fisted attempts at shutting down free speech in honest conversations, the audience will hold us accountable.
But with that said....pretty much anything can be covered--even up to and including current events. However, I personally will only be voting up stories that touch the blockchain in some way shape or form and will be asking the community to downvote absolute Rubbish! ;)
What are Beyondbits and Whaleshares?
Beyondbits and Whaleshares started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after Steem was launched historically in those very hangouts. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins" for those who never knew to listen in who may wish to listen to the origins in our BeyondBitcoin Podcast Series. Drop in and listen to them sometime!
These tokens give their hodlers the power to Summon a Whalevote to posts without having to pay for attention. And they are only given to people who Win Contests and do other things of value to the community!
These little hidden gems are held safely just for you. Waiting for the moment when you prove yourself in the arena of contests and hangouts like the whaletank...so if you haven't yet, you should follow @officialfuzzy and watch out for his new contests, or join the Whaleshares Discord where there are a community of Beyondbit Experts!

Excerpt from this weeks Bitshares State of the Network report
The team from Scorum have outlined an opensource method of doing ACCT (Atomic Cross Chain Transaction) on Graphene based chains. The paper outlines specifically a method demonstrating ACCT between their Graphene based chain and Litecoin.
A new version of the Bitshares Reference wallet has been released (v2.0.180115).

Due to a fee reduction the cost of Life Time Membership's on the Bitshares network have been reduced from 1457 BTS down to 110.8 BTS. Given the current market condition thats about $45 USD for an LTM... bargain.

BitSharesBot
Suggested Duration: 2 to 5 minutes
@aperson has been working on a bot for BitShares that is based on the bots system that had previously been developed by Alt
Since Alt's position against the recent fork of bitshares. He has decided to shutdown btsbots. I believe that btsbots are a important asset to the community and I will attempt to run a public bootlegged version of BTSbots.
The bot is located at: (remember you need DEPOSIT to trade)

I just wrote to Chinese speakers they should have their own hangouts or try to join ours. What do you guys think?
我刚刚写信给中国人,他们应该有自己的环聊或尝试加入我们的。 你们有什么感想?
I think the Chinese community is very important. Always has been. I appreciate your attention to being careful about their wants and needs. More of us need to do that.. That is what I think.
Conversely I can imagine a Chinese speaking person saying:
..and as an English speaker, I would love it the same way.
So I found some willing to join or create hangouts for their language, @justyy and I have contacted another one, @lzmlam
LOL, good point!
I would like to ask N question and can answer in audio: Because BitShare has a large community, without embargo its price is very low in relation to the exchance that began binance or Kucoinexchange, quickly were valued, bitshare must be worth more than the Decentralized exchange, what can we do about community to make bitshare be used by more people?
I suggest to offer paid support say in the Discord channel maybe like we do with the lottery bot. The quicker your problem is fixed the more you pay ;) So that people don't ask FAQ questions, or they can but yeah, that'll cost ya :P
Some general Bitshares updates
Suggested Duration: 10 to 20 minutes
@cm-steem do you do videos about Hertz?
I've not done any myself, no. If you're interested in doing so then I'd greatly appreciate that :)
Then I would have to understand them first :P So can I make money with Hertz? XD Maybe then I'll figure it out you know financial motivation, Pavlov reflex and all that ;)
can we get a definitive solution on how to protect ourselves in terms of securing the private key? also, what are options for getting bts on the ledger/tresor?
BitShares wallet model has a file and password. I'm not sure how Trezor and Ledger Nano S would handle that but I can visit the guys from Trezor when I'm in Prague.
It's sad but even Apple security slips pretty badly lately in this regard.
definitely will let you know what i have found so far.
beyond bitcoin is a very interactive discord channel, i am glad i joined
<3
I wanted creating bitshares wallet but i was redirected to open ledger. Please i need more info on that
OpenLedger/Bitshares basically the same thing. Your account can be used on either site.
I just finished posting a tutorial on how you can get a free downloadable wallet for Bitshares.
It still goes through Openledger, who pays your "account creation fee" like a faucet, so yes, they can be trusted.
Yeah I don't think it's right that when you become an LTM Openledger gets 30%... Or is there a question asking "who reffered you"?
You could be right. Maybe they should get 40%
They deserve to get paid because they run the server cluster, maintain security, and keep funds ready to pay fees. The first user experience needs to be good, so their front end interface needs to be quick, fast, and ready to go.
If you want to still participate in the referral program, you do not have to point them to OpenLedger. You can run your own full node in a datacenter and save yourself 30%
Personally I think OpenLedger should charge 40%. That would be fair for the work and involvement they have.
The actual server that registers the user, and pays the fee, (in this case, openledger) knows who referred you based on the ?r= part of the link.
Haha 40%? You got me, yep I think that makes sense! But I think they can make that money too on customer support helpdesk. Now all the questions are coming into Discord? I sure seems so... And we're not getting paid man, no infrastructure yet setupfor that I guess, see the comments above.
Offer your services. Maybe they are hiring? Talk them into it.
Good point. Like send them an email? Are they ever on our hangouts?
Alright
I will join mr @officialfuzzy
