Our Desires and Needs of Life
One thing that never stops for us in our life is our desires, there is always something that we keep wishing for. Desires are not always about acquiring material things in life. It can be about anything, a desire to be successful in job, a desire for academic accomplishments, a desire to get someone in life who would love you unconditionally, there are so many desires. On a daily basis these desires keep coming up.
It's nice to have desires, because that's what keeps life going. Imagine you would not have any need or desire in life, then how dull life would become. But at the same time, our desires should always be in our control, they should not become our obsession, because that's where all the problems begin. When it turns to obsession then we can go to any length to get it and that may be or may not be in the most rightful manner.
Major problems of the world today are from desires of people who want to achieve something or the other and their desires have become their strong obsessions for which they are willing to go to any length and destroy the world. The desire to be in control and power, the desire to be the richest, all of these desires even when once achieved, it does not stop there, then the goal posts keeps shifting, it becomes a matter of greed, a never ending greed which can make us do anything to achieve.
How nice it would be if people could just learn to manage their desires and not make them a greed.

Ciertamente los malos deseos, la codicia y la avaricia, no tienen medida y son destructivos. Pienso que es sano desear sin ser obsesivo cualquier cosas siempre que no cause un perjuicio o un daño a otra persona o ser viviente, de manera directa o indirecta.
